بحضور نائب وزير التعليم الدكتورة إيناس سليمان العيسى، ورئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء الدكتور فهد عبدالله الدوسري، وعدد من مديري الإدارات التعليمية وقيادات الهيئة، أقامت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء حفلاً لتكريم الإدارات التعليمية الفائزة في مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية، التي نظمت نسختها الأولى بالشراكة مع وزارة التعليم في 2024م، وشهدت تفاعلاً كبيراً بمشاركة 243,245 طالباً وطالبة من 16 إدارة تعليمية
وأظهرت نتائج المسابقة أن الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة الرياض كانت الأكثر مشاركةً، إذ بلغ عدد الطلاب والطالبات المشاركين منها 46,635 بنسبة 21.0% من إجمالي المشاركين، يليهم طلاب وطالبات الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمحافظة الطائف وبلغ عددهم 38,953 بنسبة 17.5%، ثم طلاب وطالبات الإدارة العامة للتعليم بالمنطقة الشرقية في المرتبة الثالثة، وبلغ عددهم 38,030 وبلغت نسبتهم من مجموع المشاركين 17.1%، فيما بلغ عدد طلاب وطالبات التعليم العام المشاركين من الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة مكة المكرمة 20,183، وجاءوا في المرتبة الرابعة بنسبة 9.1%، وحلَّ طلاب وطالبات الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة القصيم في المرتبة الخامسة؛ إذ بلغ عدد المشاركين 17,692، بنسبة 8.0%.
وأشاد رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء الدكتور فهد الدوسري، بالشراكة المثمرة مع وزارة التعليم، مثنياً على جهود الإدارات التعليمة التي بُذلت في تحقيق المراكز الأولى على مستوى حجم مشاركة الطلاب والطالبات في مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية.
وأضاف الدوسري، أن مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية جاءت لتعزيز الوعي الإحصائي لدى الطلاب والطالبات وتنمية مهاراتهم نحو التفكير النقدي، والتعامل الواعي مع المعلومات والمؤشرات الإحصائية من مصادرها الموثوقة، وعبَّر عن تطلعه إلى أن تكون النسخة الثانية أكثر نجاحاً وتميزاً، وأن تعزيز الوعي بالعمل الإحصائي، وبيان دوره المهم في حياة الفرد، ونجاح برامج التنمية على اختلافها.
يشار إلى أن مسابقة المعرفة الإحصائية ستطلق نسختها الثانية خلال العام الدراسي القادم 1447، وسيواكب الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للإحصاء، الذي يقام كل خمس سنوات، ويشمل برنامج المعرفة الإحصائية أنشطة متنوعة؛ منها استثمار الإذاعة المدرسية لتعريف الطلاب بأهمية العمل الإحصائي، وبيان دوره في التنمية، وتنظيم زيارات ميدانية من قِبل منسوبي الهيئة العامة للإحصاء إلى المدارس لتقديم برامج تطبيقية وإثرائية، كما يوفر البرنامج أدلة معرفية متخصصة تشمل المصطلحات الإحصائية، والتصانيف المهنية، وسياسات كتابة الأرقام، إضافة إلى توضيح وشرح بعض المفاهيم مثل المؤشرات الإحصائية، وتدريب الطلاب على التعامل مع مصادر البيانات الإحصائية التي تسهم بدورها في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة، وإنجاز مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.

With the presence of the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Inas Suleiman Al-Essa, and the President of the General Authority for Statistics, Dr. Fahd Abdullah Al-Dosari, along with a number of educational department directors and authority leaders, the General Authority for Statistics held a ceremony to honor the winning educational departments in the Statistical Knowledge Competition, which organized its first edition in partnership with the Ministry of Education in 2024. The event witnessed significant interaction with the participation of 243,245 male and female students from 16 educational departments.
The results of the competition showed that the General Department of Education in the Riyadh region had the highest participation, with 46,635 male and female students participating, accounting for 21.0% of the total participants. They were followed by students from the General Department of Education in Taif, with 38,953 participants, representing 17.5%. Then came the students from the General Department of Education in the Eastern Province in third place, with 38,030 participants, making up 17.1% of the total participants. The number of male and female students participating from the General Department of Education in the Makkah region was 20,183, placing them in fourth place with 9.1%. Students from the General Department of Education in Al-Qassim region ranked fifth, with 17,692 participants, accounting for 8.0%.
Dr. Fahd Al-Dosari, the President of the General Authority for Statistics, praised the fruitful partnership with the Ministry of Education, commending the efforts of the educational departments that were made to achieve top positions in terms of student participation in the Statistical Knowledge Competition.
Al-Dosari added that the Statistical Knowledge Competition was launched to enhance statistical awareness among male and female students and to develop their skills towards critical thinking and conscious engagement with information and statistical indicators from reliable sources. He expressed his hope that the second edition would be even more successful and distinguished, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about statistical work and its significant role in individual lives and the success of various development programs.
It is noteworthy that the Statistical Knowledge Competition will launch its second edition during the upcoming academic year 1447, coinciding with the celebration of World Statistics Day, which is held every five years. The Statistical Knowledge Program includes various activities, such as utilizing school broadcasts to inform students about the importance of statistical work and its role in development, organizing field visits by the staff of the General Authority for Statistics to schools to provide practical and enriching programs. The program also offers specialized knowledge guides that include statistical terms, professional classifications, and policies for writing numbers, in addition to clarifying and explaining some concepts such as statistical indicators, and training students to deal with sources of statistical data that contribute to achieving sustainable development and accomplishing the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
