إنفاذًا لتوجيهات خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود, وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وصل إلى مطار الملك خالد الدولي بالرياض التوأم الملتصق الفلبيني (أوليفيا وجيانا) برفقة ذويهما، قادمين من الفلبين، حيث نُقل التوأم فور وصولهما إلى مستشفى الملك عبدالله التخصصي للأطفال بوزارة الحرس الوطني؛ لدراسة حالتهما والنظر في إمكانية إجراء عملية فصلهما.
وأكد المشرف العام على مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية رئيس الفريق الطبي والجراحي التابع للبرنامج السعودي للتوائم الملتصقة الدكتور عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز الربيعة، أن هذه المبادرات تجسد القيم الإنسانية الراسخة للمملكة العربية السعودية التي امتد أثرها إلى مختلف أصقاع الأرض.
ورفع الربيعة الشكر والتقدير لخادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي العهد على ما يوليانه من اهتمام ورعاية للبرنامج، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا البرنامج يعد نموذجًا فريدًا من نوعه للتقدم والتميز الطبي السعودي، ويتماشى مع أهداف ورؤية المملكة 2030 التي تسعى إلى الارتقاء بالقطاع الصحي وجعله ضمن أفضل الأنظمة الصحية على مستوى العالم.
وأعرب ذوو التوأم الفلبيني عن شكرهم الجزيل وامتنانهم للقيادة لما وجدوه من حفاوة الاستقبال والرعاية والعناية منذ وصولهم إلى أرض المملكة.
In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the conjoined Filipino twins (Olivia and Gianna) arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh accompanied by their family, coming from the Philippines. The twins were immediately transferred upon their arrival to King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital at the Ministry of National Guard to assess their condition and consider the possibility of separating them.
Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabiah, the General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works and head of the medical and surgical team affiliated with the Saudi program for conjoined twins, confirmed that these initiatives embody the deep-rooted humanitarian values of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose impact has extended to various parts of the world.
Al Rabiah expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their attention and care for the program, noting that this program is a unique model of Saudi medical advancement and excellence, aligning with the goals and vision of the Kingdom 2030, which aims to elevate the healthcare sector and make it one of the best health systems in the world.
The family of the Filipino twins expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the leadership for the warm welcome, care, and attention they received since their arrival in the Kingdom.
