أفادت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية، اليوم (الأحد)، بأنه بعد ساعات من البحث المكثف، تم العثور على المدعية العسكرية العامة الإسرائيلية، اللواء يفعات تومر يروشالمي، في أعقاب اختفائها عن الأنظار منذ صباح اليوم.
ويأتي ذلك على خلفية استقالة يروشالمي من منصبها قبل يومين، إثر الحديث عن تورطها في تسريب فيديو يوثق اعتداء جنود إسرائيليين جنسياً وجسدياً على أسير فلسطيني في معتقل «سديه تيمان» خلال الحرب الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة.
وقالت القناة 12 الإسرائيلية إن الشرطة أجرت عمليات بحث واسعة ومكثفة بعد العثور على سيارة يروشالمي مهجورة قرب شاطئ الجرف شمالي تل أبيب، وبداخلها رسالة تثير مخاوف جدية بشأن مصيرها، لكن المصدر عاد ليفيد في وقت لاحق بأنه «تمّ التواصل معها، وهي على قيد الحياة».
وكانت يفعات تؤمر يروشالمي (51 عاماً)، قد استقالت في 31 أكتوبر بعد اعترافها بأنها وافقت على تسريب تسجيل مراقبة أمنية من مرفق سدي تيمان، يُظهر خمسة جنود يعتدون جنسياً على أسير فلسطيني في يوليو 2024.
وأدى التسريب، الذي بُث عبر قناة 12، إلى احتجاجات يمينية عنيفة واعتقال الجنود بتهم الإيذاء الجسدي الشديد، لكن يروشالمي دافعت عن قرارها قائلة إنه كان «ضرورياً لمواجهة الدعاية الكاذبة ضد الجهاز القانوني العسكري»، مضيفة: «واجبنا التحقيق في أي شبهة عنف ضد أسير، مهما كان نوعه».
وأثار التسريب، الذي جاء وسط حملة يمينية تتهم الجهاز القضائي بالانحياز، غضباً سياسياً، إذ هاجم وزير الدفاع إسرائيل كاتس يروشالمي بأنها «غير مستحقة لارتداء زي الجيش»، بينما رحب وزير الأمن الوطني إيتمار بن غفير بالاستقالة ونشر فيديو يقف فيه فوق أسرى فلسطينيين مقيدين، مطالباً بإعدام من وصفهم بأنهم «مهاجمو 7 أكتوبر».
في المقابل، وصفت منظمات حقوقية مثل «المركز الفلسطيني لحقوق الإنسان» الحادثة بأنها «مأساة إنسانية»، مشيرة إلى أنها تكشف عن «ثقافة الإفلات من العقاب في الجيش الإسرائيلي».
Israeli media reported today (Sunday) that after hours of intensive searching, the Israeli military prosecutor, Major General Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi, was found following her disappearance since this morning.
This comes in the wake of Yerushalmi's resignation from her position two days ago, following discussions about her involvement in leaking a video documenting the sexual and physical assault of a Palestinian prisoner by Israeli soldiers at the "Sde Teiman" detention facility during the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
Channel 12 reported that the police conducted extensive and intensive searches after finding Yerushalmi's abandoned car near the shore of the cliff north of Tel Aviv, which contained a message raising serious concerns about her fate. However, the source later reported that "she has been contacted, and she is alive."
Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi (51 years old) had resigned on October 31 after admitting that she had agreed to leak security surveillance footage from the Sde Teiman facility, showing five soldiers sexually assaulting a Palestinian prisoner in July 2024.
The leak, which was broadcast on Channel 12, led to violent right-wing protests and the arrest of the soldiers on charges of severe physical abuse, but Yerushalmi defended her decision, stating that it was "necessary to confront the false propaganda against the military legal system," adding: "It is our duty to investigate any suspicion of violence against a prisoner, regardless of its nature."
The leak, which came amid a right-wing campaign accusing the judiciary of bias, sparked political outrage, as Defense Minister Israel Katz attacked Yerushalmi, stating that she "does not deserve to wear the army's uniform," while National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir welcomed the resignation and published a video of himself standing over bound Palestinian prisoners, calling for the execution of those he described as "the attackers of October 7."
In contrast, human rights organizations such as the "Palestinian Center for Human Rights" described the incident as a "humanitarian tragedy," noting that it reveals a "culture of impunity in the Israeli army."
