أعلن الجيش السوداني، اليوم (الإثنين)، فتح الطريق الواصل إلى مدينة الدلنج في ولاية جنوب كردفان.
وأكدت القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة السودانية في بيان أن قواتها تمكنت من فتح طريق الدلنج عنوةً واقتداراً، بعد تنفيذ عملية عسكرية ناجحة، موضحة أن قواتها نجحت في دحر وتدمير مسلحي قوات الدعم السريع التي كانت تحاول تعطيل حركة المواطنين والإمدادات واستهداف الأمن والاستقرار بالمنطقة.
وأشارت القيادة القوات السودانية إلى أنها كبدت «الدعم السريع» خسائر كبيرة في الأرواح والعتاد، فيما فر من تبقى منهم هاربين تحت الضربات، مبيناً أن قواتها أثبتت أنها في جاهزيتها العالية، وانضباطها، وقدرتهم على الحسم في كافة المحاور.
وتعهد القوات المسلحة السودانية بمواصلة تطهير بلادها من قوات الدعم السريع، وتحقق الأمن والاستقرار في كافة أنحاء السودان.
وأفاد شهود عيان بأن قوات الجيش تمكنت من فك حصار عن أهم مدن كردفان بعد عامين ونيف من تطويقها من قبل الدعم السريع، مؤكدين أن قوات الجيش ظلت تتقدم من محاور عدة لفك الحصار عن مدينة الدلنج.
وتعرضت مدينة الدلنج لحصار ظالم فرضته قوات الدعم السريع منذ الشهور الأولى للحرب التي اندلعت قبل أكثر من عامين، إضافة إلى تعرضها لهجمات متكررة بالمدفعية والطائرات المسيّرة.
وكانت شبكة أطباء السودان قد ناشدت المنظمات الدولية بضرورة التدخل العاجل لفك حصار المدينة بعد خروج 50% من القطاع الصحي من الخدمة وتردي الأوضاع المعيشية للمواطنين.
The Sudanese army announced today (Monday) the opening of the road leading to the city of Dilling in South Kordofan state.
The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces confirmed in a statement that its forces managed to forcibly and decisively open the Dilling road after executing a successful military operation, explaining that its forces succeeded in defeating and destroying the Rapid Support Forces militants who were trying to disrupt the movement of citizens and supplies and target security and stability in the region.
The Sudanese military leadership indicated that it inflicted significant losses in lives and equipment on the "Rapid Support Forces," while those who remained fled under the strikes, noting that its forces proved their high readiness, discipline, and ability to decisively act on all fronts.
The Sudanese Armed Forces pledged to continue purging their country of the Rapid Support Forces and to achieve security and stability throughout Sudan.
Eyewitnesses reported that the army forces managed to lift the siege on one of the most important cities in Kordofan after more than two years of being surrounded by the Rapid Support Forces, confirming that the army forces continued to advance from several fronts to lift the siege on the city of Dilling.
The city of Dilling had been subjected to an unjust siege imposed by the Rapid Support Forces since the early months of the war that erupted more than two years ago, in addition to being targeted by repeated artillery and drone attacks.
The Sudan Doctors Network had appealed to international organizations for urgent intervention to lift the siege on the city after 50% of the health sector went out of service and the living conditions of citizens deteriorated.
