بعد يوم من إعلان إسلام آباد فشل المفاوضات مع كابول، كشفت مصادر مطلعة أن أفغانستان وباكستان ستستأنفان محادثات السلام في إسطنبول.
ورجح مسؤول أمني باكستاني عودة المفاوضات بين بلاده وأفغانستان.
وأفاد بأن جولة جديدة من المفاوضات بين أفغانستان وباكستان على الأرجح، في إسطنبول.
وتهدف المحادثات إلى التوصل لسلام دائم بين البلدين بعد مقتل العشرات على حدودهما في أسوأ أعمال عنف من هذا القبيل في السنوات الأخيرة.
وكان الطرفان اتفقا على وقف إطلاق النار بالدوحة في 19 أكتوبر الجاري، لكن محادثاتهما الأخيرة في إسطنبول لم تفض إلى التوصل لاتفاق شامل.
وألقى كل طرف المسؤولية على الآخر في عدم التوصل إلى اتفاق.
وأعلن الجيش الباكستاني الأحد الماضي، مقتل 5 من جنوده و25 مسلحا من حركة طالبان الباكستانية في اشتباكات قرب الحدود مع أفغانستان.
ولقي العشرات حتفهم هذا الشهر على طول الحدود بين أفغانستان وباكستان في أسوأ أعمال عنف من هذا القبيل منذ تولي طالبان السلطة في كابول في عام 2021.
وبدأت اشتباكات أكتوبر بعد غارات جوية باكستانية هذا الشهر، على العاصمة الأفغانية كابول من بين مواقع أخرى، مستهدفة زعيم حركة طالبان الباكستانية. وردت طالبان بهجمات على مواقع عسكرية باكستانية على طول الحدود الممتدة لمسافة 2600 كيلومتر.
وقال وزير الإعلام الباكستاني عطا الله ترار الأربعاء: إن الجانب الأفغاني استمر في الانحراف عن القضية الأساسية، متهرباً من النقطة الرئيسية التي بدأت على أساسها عملية الحوار.
وأضاف أنه بدلاً من قبول أي مسؤولية، لجأت حركة طالبان الأفغانية إلى لعبة إلقاء اللوم والتهرب والحيل. وبالتالي، فشل الحوار في التوصل إلى أي حل عملي.
وهدد وزير الدفاع الباكستاني خواجة آصف هو بـ«محو» حركة طالبان أفغانستان، في تصعيد لحدة الخطاب بعد انهيار المحادثات.

The talks aim to achieve a lasting peace between the two countries after dozens were killed along their borders in the worst violence of its kind in recent years.
The two sides had agreed to a ceasefire in Doha on October 19, but their recent talks in Istanbul did not lead to a comprehensive agreement.
Each side blamed the other for the failure to reach an agreement.
Last Sunday, the Pakistani army announced the death of 5 of its soldiers and 25 militants from the Pakistani Taliban in clashes near the border with Afghanistan.
Dozens have died this month along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan in the worst violence of its kind since the Taliban took power in Kabul in 2021.
The October clashes began after Pakistani airstrikes this month targeted the Afghan capital Kabul among other sites, aiming at the leader of the Pakistani Taliban. The Taliban responded with attacks on Pakistani military sites along the 2,600-kilometer-long border.
Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Wednesday that the Afghan side continued to deviate from the core issue, evading the main point on which the dialogue process was based.
He added that instead of accepting any responsibility, the Afghan Taliban resorted to a blame game and evasion tactics. Consequently, the dialogue failed to reach any practical solution.
Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif threatened to "wipe out" the Afghan Taliban, in an escalation of rhetoric following the collapse of the talks.
