أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي، اليوم (الأحد)، إصابة 12 جندياً في حادث سير عملياتي على الحدود مع قطاع غزة، مؤكداً أن هناك إصابتين متوسطة، فيما العشر الأخرى طفيفة.
وقال جيش الإحتلال في بيان إن الحادث وقع نتيجة تصادم بين مركبتَي هامفي عسكريتين، مبيناً أنه فتح تحقيقاً للوقوف على ملابسات الحادث.
من جهة أخرى، سمحت إسرائيل لممثل من حركة حماس بدخول منطقة «الخط الأصفر» برفقة فريق من الصليب الأحمر، للبحث عن جثث رهائن داخل قطاع غزة.
ونقلت القناة 12 الإسرائيلية عن مسؤول إسرائيلي قوله: «الصليب الأحمر يعمل الآن مع «حماس» لتحديد مكان جثث رهائن داخل منطقة خاضعة لسيطرة الجيش الإسرائيلي»، فيما قالت صحيفة «يديعوت أحرونوت» إن الجيش الإسرائيلي انسحب من منطقة البحث عن جثث المحتجزين وسط ضغوط من الوسطاء ومخاوف من صِدام مع حركة حماس.
وأفادت صحيفة «جيروسالم بوست» الإسرائيلية، بأن بعض الجثث قد تكون مدفونة في المنطقة المذكورة التي تمثل أكثر من نصف مساحة قطاع غزة، وأن عمليات البحث جارية لتحديد مواقعها.
وينص اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بين إسرائيل و«حماس» على إعادة الحركة جميع الرهائن المتبقين لديها، الأحياء والأموات، الذين كان عددهم 48 عند إبرام الاتفاق، مقابل إطلاق سراح نحو ألفَي فلسطيني معتقلين لدى إسرائيل.
The Israeli army announced today (Sunday) that 12 soldiers were injured in an operational traffic accident on the border with the Gaza Strip, confirming that there are two moderate injuries, while the other ten are minor.
The occupation army stated in a statement that the accident occurred as a result of a collision between two military Humvee vehicles, indicating that it has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.
On another note, Israel allowed a representative from Hamas to enter the "yellow line" area accompanied by a team from the Red Cross to search for the bodies of hostages inside the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Channel 12 reported an Israeli official saying: "The Red Cross is now working with Hamas to locate the bodies of hostages within an area controlled by the Israeli army," while the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth stated that the Israeli army withdrew from the area searching for the bodies of the captives amid pressure from mediators and fears of a clash with Hamas.
The Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported that some bodies may be buried in the mentioned area, which represents more than half of the Gaza Strip's territory, and that search operations are underway to locate them.
The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas stipulates that the movement must return all remaining hostages in its possession, both alive and dead, who numbered 48 at the time of the agreement, in exchange for the release of about two thousand Palestinians detained by Israel.
