نددت وزارة الخارجية الفلسطينية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، بأشد العبارات محاولات إسرائيل ضم الأرض الفلسطينية في الضفة الغربية بإقرار «فرض السيادة» عليها، عقب موافقة الكنيست الإسرائيلي في تصويت مبدئي على مشروعَي قانونين بفرض السيادة على الضفة وشرعنة مستوطنة «معاليه أدوميم» القريبة من القدس.
وقالت الوزارة، في بيان، إن الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة في الضفة الغربية، بما فيها القدس، وقطاع غزة، تشكل وحدة جغرافية واحدة ولا تخضع لسيادة إسرائيل، محذرة من مغبة استمرار إسرائيل بمحاولاتها خلق وقائع على الأرض.
رفض فلسطيني
وشددت الوزارة على ضرورة مواجهة هذا القرار بكل الوسائل القانونية، والسياسية الممكنة، مجددة التأكيد على أن إسرائيل قوة احتلال غير شرعي، وفقاً لقواعد القانون الدولي.
وطالبت الوزارة جميع الدول ومؤسسات الأمم المتحدة برفض القرار الإسرائيلي.
تنديد عربي
بدورها، أدانت الخارجية القطرية مصادقة الكنيست الإسرائيلي على مشروعَي قانونين لفرض السيادة على الضفة الغربية، معتبرة ذلك تعدياً سافراً على حقوق الفلسطينيين، وتحدياً للقانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية.
وحثت الخارجية القطرية المجتمع الدولي ومجلس الأمن، في بيان، على تحمل مسؤولياته القانونية، والأخلاقية، والتحرك العاجل لإلزام سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بوقف خططها التوسعية، وسياستها الاستيطانية.
من جهتها، أعربت وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين الأردنية عن إدانتها بشدة للخطوة الإسرائيلية، معتبرة أنها خرق واضح للقانون الدولي وتقويض لحل الدولتين، وحق الفلسطينيين في إقامة دولتهم على حدود 1967 وعاصمتها القدس.
وأكدت الوزارة ألا سيادة لإسرائيل على الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، وفق ما ذكرت وكالة الأنباء الأردنية «بترا».
تصويت الكنيست
وصادق الكنيست الإسرائيلي، في وقت سابق اليوم، على المناقشة التمهيدية لمشروع قانون فرض السيادة الإسرائيلية على الضفة الغربية المحتلة، تزامناً مع زيارة نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس إلى إسرائيل.
وصوّت 25 عضواً في الكنيست لصالح هذا المشروع، فيما عارضه 24 عضواً آخر، وسط نقاش حاد، ومن المقرر أن يحال المشروع إلى لجنة الشؤون الخارجية والدفاع لمناقشته، قبل طرحه لتصويتين، ثان وثالث.
ويأتي توقيت التصويت بالتزامن مع زيارة فانس إلى إسرائيل، حيث التقى رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو صباح اليوم.
وقدّم هذا المقترح رئيس حزب «نوعام» اليميني المتطرف أبي ماعوز، الذي يطالب بضم الضفة الغربية بشكل كامل وفرض القانون الإسرائيلي عليها، ورفض ماعوز تأجيل التصويت بناءً على طلب نتنياهو.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned today (Wednesday) in the strongest terms Israel's attempts to annex Palestinian land in the West Bank by approving the "imposition of sovereignty" over it, following the Israeli Knesset's preliminary vote on two bills to impose sovereignty over the West Bank and legalize the "Ma'ale Adumim" settlement near Jerusalem.
The ministry stated in a statement that the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip constitute a single geographical unit and are not subject to Israeli sovereignty, warning of the consequences of Israel's continued attempts to create facts on the ground.
Palestinian Rejection
The ministry emphasized the necessity of confronting this decision by all possible legal and political means, reiterating that Israel is an illegitimate occupying power according to international law.
The ministry called on all countries and United Nations institutions to reject the Israeli decision.
Arab Condemnation
For its part, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli Knesset's approval of the two bills to impose sovereignty over the West Bank, considering it a blatant violation of the rights of Palestinians and a challenge to international law and international legitimacy.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry urged the international community and the Security Council, in a statement, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities and to take urgent action to compel the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their expansionist plans and settlement policies.
For its part, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli step, considering it a clear violation of international law and a undermining of the two-state solution and the right of Palestinians to establish their state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
The ministry confirmed that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian land, as reported by the Jordanian news agency "Petra."
Knesset Vote
The Israeli Knesset approved earlier today the preliminary discussion of the bill to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank, coinciding with the visit of U.S. Vice President JD Vance to Israel.
Twenty-five Knesset members voted in favor of this bill, while 24 other members opposed it, amid a heated debate. The bill is set to be referred to the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for discussion before being put to two more votes, a second and a third.
The timing of the vote coincides with Vance's visit to Israel, where he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this morning.
This proposal was presented by the head of the far-right "Noam" party, Avi Maoz, who calls for the complete annexation of the West Bank and the imposition of Israeli law on it, and Maoz rejected postponing the vote at Netanyahu's request.
