أعلنت الحملة الأمنية المشتركة اليمنية في محافظة لحج اليوم (الأربعاء)، ضبط سفينة تحمل أسلحة كانت في طريقها إلى الحوثي بالقرب من باب المندب وذلك بعد عملية رصد ومتابعة دقيقة لتحركاتها.
وأوضح مصدر أمني يمني أن السفينة «بوم» كانت تحمل أسلحة ومنتجات لإحدى الدول وفي طريقها إلى مناطق الحوثي، موضحاً أنه جرى القبض على طاقمها المكون من 8 بحارين.
وأشار إلى أنه جرى اعتراض السفينة وتفتيشها بدقة، والقبض على بحارتها الثمانية الذي يتبعون لأحد القيادات الحوثية وضمن شبكة التهريب، مبيناً أن السفينة قادمة من أحد الموانئ ووجد بداخلها صاروخ «كورنيت» مضاد للدروع، وقطع غيار للطيران المسيّر (الدرونز)، ووحدات تشغيل ومحركات ذات مواصفات عسكرية، وموصلات وكابلات تحكم دقيقة، وثمانية صناديق من الأدوية ومواد غذائية واستهلاكية.
وأشاد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي عبدالرحمن المحرمي بضبط ومكافحة التهريب في سواحل مديرية المضاربة ورأس العارة بمحافظة لحج، موضحاً أن ضبط الأسلحة المهربة إلى الحوثي يأتي نتيجة يقظة وجهود قوات الحملة الأمنية المشتركة لتأمين وحماية السواحل من أنشطة التهريب والممنوعات.
The joint Yemeni security campaign in Lahij Governorate announced today (Wednesday) the seizure of a ship carrying weapons that was en route to the Houthis near Bab al-Mandab, following a precise monitoring and tracking operation of its movements.
A Yemeni security source clarified that the ship, named "Boum," was carrying weapons and products from one of the countries and was headed to Houthi areas, stating that the crew of eight sailors was apprehended.
He pointed out that the ship was intercepted and thoroughly inspected, and the eight sailors, who are affiliated with one of the Houthi leaders and part of a smuggling network, were arrested. He indicated that the ship was coming from one of the ports and contained a "Kornet" anti-tank missile, spare parts for drones, military-grade operating units and engines, precise control connectors and cables, and eight boxes of medicines and food and consumer materials.
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdulrahman al-Mahrami praised the seizure and combating of smuggling along the coasts of the Mudharabah and Ras al-Arah districts in Lahij Governorate, explaining that the seizure of weapons smuggled to the Houthis is a result of the vigilance and efforts of the joint security campaign forces to secure and protect the coasts from smuggling and prohibited activities.
