Hamas and Israel exchanged accusations of violating the truce, with the movement accusing the occupation army of killing 5 Palestinians in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, while Tel Aviv considered Hamas's failure to hand over the bodies of the hostages a "violation of the agreement."
While Hamas announced that the recovery of the bodies of some of the Israeli hostages killed could take a long time, as some burial sites are unknown, Israel renewed its criticism.

Israeli Measures in Response

An Israeli security source stated today, Tuesday, in a statement to Channel 12, that the movement's delivery of the remains of only 4 hostages is a "serious breach and violation of the agreement." He revealed that Israel is considering response measures, including not opening the Rafah crossing. He noted that among the proposed options is to halt the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The source accused Hamas of retaining information about the whereabouts of more than 10 hostages who have fallen, considering "the decision not to release them yesterday a serious violation," according to his statement.
He said, "Based on the information conveyed to Israel through intermediaries and the discussions that took place during communications between the two parties, it seems that Hamas possesses accurate information about the locations of more than 10 deceased hostages, so the decision to release only four of them is considered a blatant violation of the agreement."

Threat to Halt Aid

The source added: "We were extremely surprised," explaining that the process of identifying the four deceased who were returned to Israel has been completed.
The source confirmed that the decision regarding response measures to Hamas is in the hands of the political leadership, but the security establishment has recommended immediate actions to stop the flow of aid to Gaza, whether from the Rafah crossing or from Israeli crossings.
He said: Our primary and ultimate commitment is to the families of the deceased hostages, and we must act now forcefully and stop everything, pointing out that the declared assumption, contrary to what Hamas promotes, is that the movement knows the whereabouts of most of the hostages, according to his statement.

Difficulty in Finding the Bodies

For his part, the spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross, Christian Cardon, stated that the delivery of the remains of the hostages and detainees who fell in the war will take time, describing it as a "huge challenge" given the difficulty of finding the bodies amid the rubble of Gaza. He said: "This is an even greater challenge than releasing the living. It is a serious challenge." He added that it could take days or weeks, emphasizing that there is a possibility that they may never be found.
The Israeli government's coordinator for prisoners, Gal Hirsch, confirmed in a message to their families that Israel will continue to pressure Hamas and will escalate efforts to complete the return of the bodies of the deceased.

Unknown Burial Sites

Hamas delivered all 20 living hostages yesterday, Monday, along with the remains of 4 deceased: Guy Iluz, Yossi Sharabi, Bivin Joshi, and Daniel Perez.
Hamas confirmed that the delivery step came in implementation of President Donald Trump's plan, emphasizing to the mediators the necessity of obligating Israel to fulfill its commitments.
The agreement stipulates the exchange of the remaining 47 hostages in Gaza out of 251 who were held during the attack on October 7, 2023, in addition to the remains of a hostage held in 2014.
