أكد رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الدكتور رشاد العليمي اليوم (الإثنين)، التزام المجلس والحكومة بمبدأ الشراكة الوطنية كخيار ثابت لتحقيق أهداف وتطلعات الشعب اليمني، وفي المقدمة استعادة مؤسسات الدولة، وإرساء أسس العدل والمواطنة المتساوية.
وشدد العليمي بمناسبة ذكرى الـ14 من أكتوبر في كلمة وجهها للشعب اليمني، على مركزية القضية الجنوبية في أيّ حل سياسي شامل، موضحاً أنّ العدالة والمواطنة المتساوية، والشفافية والوضوح هي الطريق الأمثل لتعزيز فرص الصمود، وصون سيادة الدولة، واستقرارها، وتحقيق تطلعات الشعب اليمني في الأمن والسلام والتنمية.
إصلاحات حكومية
ونوه الرئيس اليمني بتجربة جنوب اليمن الفريدة بعد الاستقلال، في بناء الدولة المدنية الحديثة، من خلال منظومة قانونية واجتماعية متقدمة، وما مثّلته من خطوات رائدة في تمكين المرأة، فضلاً عن إطلاق أول منبر تلفزيوني وأول نادٍ رياضي كصوت للمعرفة، والمشاركة الشبابية الخلاقة.
وأشار إلى المضي مع الحكومة والبنك المركزي في برنامج الإصلاحات الشاملة التي قادت إلى تحسن ملحوظ في سعر العملة الوطنية، والسلع الأساسية، والبدء بصرف مرتبات الموظفين في القطاعين المدني والعسكري، وجدولة المتأخرة منها، لتشمل مستحقات البعثات الدبلوماسية، والطلاب الدارسين في الخارج.
وأكد العليمي استمراره في متابعة المطالب الشعبية المحقة من أجل العدالة، وتعزيز سيادة القانون، موضحاً أنه وجه السلطة المحلية باتخاذ كل الإجراءات الكفيلة بإنصاف المظلومين، وردع المجرمين، وضمان عدم افلاتهم من العقاب، ذلك أن العدالة هي جوهر الدولة، ومعيار قوتها الأخلاقية.
وأشاد بالتحسن المستمر في أداء السلطة القضائية خلال الفترة الماضية، والمصادقة على عشرات الاحكام الباتة في قضايا جنائية جسيمة، بعد سنوات من التوقف عن إمضاء هذا النوع من العقوبات الرادعة.
ولفت إلى أن سقف الحريات مكفول بالقانون، والاحتجاج حقٌ مشروع، لكنه يجب أن يمثل رسالة مشرقة على حرية التعبير، والتعدد، والتعايش، وإصلاح مؤسسات انفاذ القانون، لا إضعافها، أو تأزيم الأوضاع، وتحويلها إلى مبرر للعزلة، وبيئة طاردة للشراكات، والتدخلات الإنمائية والانسانية التي تشتد إليها حاجة الملايين من المواطنين.مواقف سعودية أخوية
وعبّر رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي باسمه وأعضاء المجلس عن بالغ تقديره للأشقاء في المملكة العربية السعودية على مواقفهم الأخوية الصادقة إلى جانب الشعب اليمني، ودعمهم السخي في مختلف المجالات، فضلاً عن جهود المملكة المشهودة في تعزيز فرص السلام في اليمن، والمنطقة.
وثمن رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي الجهود التي بذلتها المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية مصر العربية ودولة قطر، إلى جانب العرب والشركاء الدوليين وفي المقدمة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، للتوصل إلى اتفاق غزة الذي وصفه بـ«التاريخي» على طريق السلام العادل، وإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة على كامل ترابها الوطني، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, affirmed today (Monday) the council's and government's commitment to the principle of national partnership as a steadfast option to achieve the goals and aspirations of the Yemeni people, foremost among them the restoration of state institutions and the establishment of the foundations of justice and equal citizenship.
In a speech addressed to the Yemeni people on the occasion of the 14th of October anniversary, Al-Alimi emphasized the centrality of the southern issue in any comprehensive political solution, explaining that justice, equal citizenship, transparency, and clarity are the optimal path to enhance resilience, preserve the sovereignty of the state, ensure its stability, and achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, peace, and development.
Government Reforms
The Yemeni president noted the unique experience of southern Yemen after independence in building a modern civil state through an advanced legal and social system, and what it represented in pioneering steps to empower women, in addition to launching the first television platform and the first sports club as a voice for knowledge and creative youth participation.
He pointed to the ongoing efforts with the government and the central bank in a comprehensive reform program that has led to a noticeable improvement in the national currency's value and essential goods, as well as the commencement of salary payments for employees in both the civil and military sectors, and the scheduling of overdue payments, including those of diplomatic missions and students studying abroad.
Al-Alimi confirmed his continued follow-up on the legitimate popular demands for justice and the enhancement of the rule of law, explaining that he directed the local authority to take all necessary measures to ensure justice for the wronged, deter criminals, and guarantee that they do not escape punishment, as justice is the essence of the state and a measure of its moral strength.
He praised the continuous improvement in the performance of the judiciary during the past period and the ratification of dozens of final rulings in serious criminal cases after years of halting the issuance of such deterrent penalties.
He noted that the ceiling of freedoms is guaranteed by law, and protest is a legitimate right, but it should represent a bright message about freedom of expression, diversity, coexistence, and reforming law enforcement institutions, not weakening them or exacerbating situations, turning them into a justification for isolation and an environment that repels partnerships and developmental and humanitarian interventions that millions of citizens urgently need.Brotherly Saudi Positions
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed, on behalf of himself and the council members, his deep appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their sincere brotherly positions alongside the Yemeni people and their generous support in various fields, as well as the Kingdom's notable efforts to enhance opportunities for peace in Yemen and the region.
He valued the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the State of Qatar, along with Arab and international partners, foremost among them U.S. President Donald Trump, to reach the Gaza agreement, which he described as "historic" on the path to a just peace and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on its entire national territory, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
