أعلن مركز تراث الاستخبارات ومكافحة الإرهاب في تل أبيب عن نشر رسالة نسبت إلى قائد «حماس» يحيى السنوار، كتبها بحسب الإعلان في أغسطس 2022، واصفةً الرسالة بأنها توجيه داخلي تضمن إطاراً عملياتياً تحضيرياً لهجوم يُعتقد أنه مرتبط بأحداث 7 أكتوبر 2023.

بحسب العرض الإسرائيلي، تتألف الوثيقة من صفحات، بعنوان «استدراكات ضرورية»، وتحتوي تفاصيل تنفيذية وعملياتية، بينها اقتراحات لاختراقات متعددة للجدار الحدودي، هجمات بموجات متلاحقة، توزيع مهمات قيادية، واستخدام «صور مرعبة» من عمليات إحراق وسيارات مفخخة لبث أثر نفسي في الداخل الإسرائيلي وتعزيز الاستجابة الشعبية الفلسطينية والعربية. كما تزعّم الجهات الإسرائيلية أن الرسالة عُثر عليها ضمن مواد تمت مصادرتها خلال اقتحامات مراكز قيادة بقطاع غزة، وأن فحوصاً مخبرية مطابقة أظهرت تشابهاً مع خط السنوار.

The Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Heritage Center in Tel Aviv announced the publication of a message attributed to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, which was reportedly written in August 2022. The message is described as an internal directive that includes a preparatory operational framework for an attack believed to be linked to the events of October 7, 2023.
What the Israeli side published
According to the Israeli presentation, the document consists of pages titled "Necessary Additions," containing executive and operational details, including suggestions for multiple breaches of the border wall, successive wave attacks, distribution of leadership tasks, and the use of "terrifying images" from burning operations and car bombings to create a psychological impact within Israel and enhance the Palestinian and Arab public response. Israeli sources claimed that the message was found among materials seized during raids on command centers in the Gaza Strip, and that matching forensic examinations showed similarities to Sinwar's handwriting.
Internal directives
The message, according to partially published texts in the media, included clear directives regarding "producing images that explode emotions," requesting the deliberate creation of direct violence scenes from the beating and killing of soldiers to images of prisoners kneeling, and working to quickly disseminate these materials to amplify the media and psychological impact. It also mentioned suggestions for using burning vehicles and setting entire neighborhoods on fire to create "terrifying images" that could be politically exploited.
Reactions and the strength of the evidence
Sources within Hamas — according to reporters and websites that quoted them — stated that they recognize the style of Sinwar's handwriting but refused to confirm the authenticity of the document's content, emphasizing that some of the field details mentioned may not fall under his direct jurisdiction, and expressing the possibility of manipulation or the use of a similar handwriting style to convey specific messages.
Previous document forgery
Newspapers and media institutions have previously published documents attributed to Palestinian entities or to Sinwar, which were later retracted or faced investigations regarding their authenticity.
