رجحت صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» أن تطلق حركة حماس سراح 20 محتجزاً إسرائيلياً على قيد الحياة اليوم (الأحد). وتمثل الرسالة، التي أرسلتها حماس عبر وسطاء عرب إلى إسرائيل، المرة الأولى التي تؤكد فيها الحركة أن لديها 20 محتجزاً إسرائيلياً على قيد الحياة.
وقال مسؤول إسرائيلي إن الجيش الإسرائيلي يستعد لاستقبال الرهائن في وقت مبكر من ليلة الأحد، على الرغم من أنه لا يزال يتوقع أن يتم التسليم على الأرجح غداً (الاثنين).
إسرائيل مستعدة
من جانبه، أعلن رئيس وزراء الاحتلال بنيامين نتنياهو اليوم أن إسرائيل مستعدة لاستقبال جميع المحتجزين في غزة، عشية بدء تنفيذ عملية تبادل مع حماس تشمل الأسرى ومعتقلين فلسطينيين بموجب اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار. وقال في بيان أصدره مكتبه «إسرائيل مستعدة وجاهزة لاستقبال جميع الرهائن على الفور».
وتُقدّر إسرائيل أن نحو 20 إسرائيلياً، إضافة إلى جثث نحو 28 رهينة، لا يزالون في قطاع غزة.
مكان الجثث مجهول
وأعلنت حماس أنها لا تعرف مكان وجود بعض جثث المحتجزين، وأنه سيكون من الصعب الوفاء بالمهلة النهائية البالغة 72 ساعة التي حددتها خطة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب لنقلها. وأقرت إسرائيل بأن البحث سيستغرق وقتاً أطول على الأرجح لذلك.
وبحسب مصادر الصحيفة، يجري حالياً تشكيل فريق دولي مشترك للبحث عن جثث الرهائن الإسرائيليين في قطاع غزة. ويضم الفريق ممثلين من مصر، وقطر، والولايات المتحدة، وتركيا.
اتفاقات المرحلة الأولى
وأعلن الرئيس الأمريكي في التاسع من أكتوبر أن ممثلين عن إسرائيل وحركة حماس توصلوا إلى اتفاقات حول المرحلة الأولى من خطة السلام نتيجة للمفاوضات في مصر، وتنطوي هذه المرحلة على إطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن في أقرب وقت، وانسحاب الجيش الإسرائيلي إلى خط متفق عليه داخل قطاع غزة.
وبعد هذا الإعلان، اتصل رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو بترمب ودعاه لإلقاء كلمة في الكنيست. وفي ليلة العاشر من أكتوبر، أعلن مكتب نتنياهو موافقة الحكومة على صفقة إطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن، ودخل اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة حيز التنفيذ في العاشر من أكتوبر الساعة 12:00 بتوقيت موسكو.
وأعلن مكتب المتحدث باسم الجيش الإسرائيلي رسمياً في اليوم نفسه أن القوات الإسرائيلية «اتخذت مواقعها على طول خطوط الانتشار المحدّثة».
فيما أفادت المتحدثة الرسمية باسم الحكومة الإسرائيلية شوش بدروسيان بأن وقف إطلاق النار سيفتح مهلة 72 ساعة يجب خلالها إعادة المحتجزين إلى ديارهم.
The "Wall Street Journal" suggested that Hamas will release 20 living Israeli captives today (Sunday). This message, sent by Hamas through Arab intermediaries to Israel, marks the first time the movement has confirmed that it has 20 living Israeli captives.
An Israeli official stated that the Israeli army is preparing to receive the hostages early Sunday night, although it still expects that the handover will likely take place tomorrow (Monday).
Israel is Ready
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today that Israel is ready to receive all detainees in Gaza, on the eve of the commencement of a prisoner exchange process with Hamas that includes prisoners and Palestinian detainees under a ceasefire agreement. He stated in a statement issued by his office, "Israel is prepared and ready to receive all hostages immediately."
Israel estimates that about 20 Israelis, in addition to the bodies of about 28 hostages, are still in the Gaza Strip.
The Location of the Bodies is Unknown
Hamas announced that it does not know the whereabouts of some of the bodies of the captives, and that it will be difficult to meet the 72-hour deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for their transfer. Israel has acknowledged that the search will likely take longer for that reason.
According to sources from the newspaper, a joint international team is currently being formed to search for the bodies of the Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip. The team includes representatives from Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey.
Phase One Agreements
On October 9, the U.S. president announced that representatives from Israel and Hamas had reached agreements on the first phase of the peace plan as a result of negotiations in Egypt. This phase involves the release of all hostages as soon as possible and the withdrawal of the Israeli army to an agreed-upon line within the Gaza Strip.
After this announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Trump and invited him to give a speech in the Knesset. On the night of October 10, Netanyahu's office announced the government's approval of the deal to release all hostages, and the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10 at 12:00 Moscow time.
The office of the spokesperson for the Israeli army officially announced on the same day that Israeli forces "have taken their positions along the updated deployment lines."
Meanwhile, the official spokesperson for the Israeli government, Shosh Bedrosian, stated that the ceasefire will open a 72-hour window during which the detainees must be returned home.
