أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب اليوم (الخميس) أنه سيتوجه إلى مصر لحضور توقيع اتفاق غزة، مؤكداً أن كل دول الشرق الأوسط كانت داعمة لخطة غزة.
وقال ترمب في خطاب له في البيت الأبيض: أنهينا الحرب في غزة، وسيتم الإفراج عن الرهائن الاثنين أو الثلاثاء، مضيفاً: أعتقد أن السلام الذي ساعدنا في التوصل إليه في الشرق الأوسط سيكون مستداماً.
دول المنطقة متفقة على السلام
وأشار إلى أن كل دول المنطقة كانت متفقة بشأن السلام، مشدداً بالقول: ممتن لقادة قطر ومصر وتركيا على مساعدتهم لنا في التوصل إلى هذه النتيجة الرائعة.
واضاف: سأحاول التوجه إلى الشرق الأوسط وسيكون هناك مراسم توقيع على الاتفاق في مصر، مبيناً أن دول عدة ستقدم أموالاً كثيرة لغزة.
ولفت إلى أن حماس فقدت من جانبها نحو 70 ألف شخص وهذه الحرب ينبغي أن تتوقف، معتبراً أن الهجوم على إيران كان مهما للتوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن غزة.
وأضاف: إيران تريد العمل من أجل السلام ونحن سنتعاون في هذا الشأن.
وجاء خطاب ترمب بعد دعوة تلقاها من الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي، خلال اتصال هاتفي، اليوم.
وذكرت الرئاسة المصرية، في بيان، أن السيسي وجه الدعوة لترمب للمشاركة في الاحتفالية التي ستعقد في مصر بمناسبة إبرام اتفاق وقف الحرب في قطاع غزة، باعتباره حدثاً تاريخياً يتوج الجهود المشتركة لمصر والولايات المتحدة والوسطاء في الفترة الماضية، وهي الدعوة التي رحب بها الرئيس الأمريكي.
السيسي يهنئ ترمب
وأشارت الرئاسة المصرية إلى أن الرئيس الأمريكي أبدى سعادته بزيارة مصر، خصوصاً مع كونها دولة يكن لها كل الاعتزاز والتقدير.
ووجه الرئيس المصري التهنئة لترمب لنجاح جهوده الحثيثة في وقف الحرب في غزة، مبدياً تقديره البالغ لشخص الرئيس الأمريكي، ولحرصه على وقف الحرب في القطاع.
من ناحيته، أعرب الرئيس الأمريكي عن سعادته البالغة بهذا الإنجاز التاريخي، وبصداقته مع السيسي، مشيراً إلى أن الأنظار كانت تتجه نحو مصر خلال الأيام الماضية لمتابعة تطورات مفاوضات شرم الشيخ والتوصل إلى اتفاق وقف الحرب في قطاع غزة.
وأشار الرئيس المصري في هذا الصدد إلى أن التوصل إلى الاتفاق هو إنجاز تاريخي، وأن ذلك تحقق لحرص وسعي ترمب وجهوده الصادقة لتحقيق السلام، مؤكداً أن الرئيس الأمريكي يستحق بناء على ذلك وعن جدارة الحصول على جائزة نوبل للسلام.
وذكرت الرئاسة المصرية أن السيسي شدد على ضرورة المضي قدماً نحو تنفيذ اتفاق وقف الحرب في قطاع غزة بكافة مراحله، مع أهمية قيام ترمب بدعم ورعاية التنفيذ.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced today (Thursday) that he will travel to Egypt to attend the signing of the Gaza agreement, confirming that all countries in the Middle East supported the Gaza plan.
Trump said in a speech at the White House: We have ended the war in Gaza, and the hostages will be released on Monday or Tuesday, adding: I believe that the peace we helped achieve in the Middle East will be sustainable.
The Region's Countries Agree on Peace
He pointed out that all countries in the region were in agreement regarding peace, emphasizing: I am grateful to the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their assistance in reaching this wonderful outcome.
He added: I will try to head to the Middle East, and there will be a signing ceremony for the agreement in Egypt, indicating that several countries will provide a lot of money for Gaza.
He noted that Hamas has lost about 70,000 people on its side, and this war must stop, considering that the attack on Iran was important to reach an agreement regarding Gaza.
He added: Iran wants to work for peace, and we will cooperate in this regard.
Trump's speech came after an invitation he received from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during a phone call today.
The Egyptian presidency stated in a statement that El-Sisi invited Trump to participate in the celebration that will be held in Egypt to mark the signing of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, considering it a historic event that crowns the joint efforts of Egypt, the United States, and the mediators in the past period, an invitation that the U.S. President welcomed.
El-Sisi Congratulates Trump
The Egyptian presidency indicated that the U.S. President expressed his happiness about visiting Egypt, especially since it is a country he holds in great esteem and appreciation.
The Egyptian President congratulated Trump on the success of his diligent efforts to stop the war in Gaza, expressing his deep appreciation for the U.S. President and his commitment to ending the war in the region.
For his part, the U.S. President expressed his immense happiness with this historic achievement and his friendship with El-Sisi, noting that all eyes were on Egypt in recent days to follow the developments of the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations and to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptian President, in this regard, pointed out that reaching the agreement is a historic achievement, and that this was achieved due to Trump's commitment and sincere efforts to achieve peace, affirming that the U.S. President deserves, based on that, to rightfully receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Egyptian presidency mentioned that El-Sisi emphasized the necessity of moving forward with the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip in all its stages, with the importance of Trump supporting and overseeing the implementation.
