فيما أعلن الحزب الاشتراكي فشل المحادثات بشأن إمكانية تعيين شخصية يسارية لرئاسة الحكومة بعد استقالة سيباستيان لوكورنو، هددت زعيمة «التجمع الوطني» اليميني المتطرف مارين لوبان اليوم (الأربعاء) بإسقاط أي رئيس وزراء يعيّنه الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون، ما لم يدعُ إلى انتخابات جديدة.
وزعمت لوبان في مؤتمر صحفي أن «كل حكومة جديدة هي وسيلة للتحايل على إرادة الشعب»، متهمة أحزاباً أخرى بالرعب من العودة إلى صناديق الاقتراع، خشية خسارة مقاعدها، في وقت قد يخرج «التجمع الوطني» أكثر قوة من هذه العملية، بحسب مجلة «بوليتيكو».
انتخابات مبكرة
وتأتي تصريحات لوبان في وقت يسعى رئيس الوزراء المستقيل لوكورنو إلى إيجاد مخرج من الأزمة السياسية التي فجّرتها استقالته الإثنين الماضي.
ويرغب حزب «التجمع الوطني»، إلى جانب أحزاب سياسية أخرى ترى أنها قادرة على انتزاع أغلبية مقاعد الجمعية الوطنية المعلقة حالياً، بأن يدعو الرئيس الفرنسي إلى انتخابات برلمانية مبكرة.
وتفاقمت أزمة فرنسا منذ قرار حلّ البرلمان، العام الماضي، وسقوط رئيسي حكومة متتاليين، فرانسوا بايرو، الشهر الماضي، ثم سيباستيان لوكورنو الإثنين الماضي.
تعيين رئيس وزراء من اليسار
وذكرت مجلة «بوليتيكو» أن ماكرون يدرس تعيين رئيس وزراء من اليسار لتجاوز المأزق، مبينة أن الحزب الاشتراكي يُعد أبرز المرشحين لقيادة حكومة أقلية ستحتاج إلى تأمين دعم ضمني، على الأقل، من بقية أحزاب اليسار والوسطيين المقربين من الرئيس الفرنسي.
واشترط الحزب الاشتراكي مشاركته في أي تسوية باستعداد ماكرون لتعليق إصلاح التقاعد المثير للجدل لعام 2023، الذي رفع الحد الأدنى لسن التقاعد إلى 64 عاماً، ويُنفذ الإصلاح تدريجياً، فيما سيؤدي تعليقه إلى إبقاء السن الأدنى عند 63 عاماً.
وكان الحزب الاشتراكي قد اعلن في وقت سابق اليوم بعد خروج من محادثات رفيعة المستوى، أنه لم يتم التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن تعيين شخصية يسارية في رئاسة الحكومة.
لا ضمانات لإصلاح التقاعد
وقال زعيم الحزب الاشتراكي أوليفييه فور، إن حزبه لم يتلق «أي ضمانات» من رئيس الوزراء المستقيل، بشأن استعداد ماكرون لتعليق إصلاح التقاعد، مشيراً إلى أن لوكورنو «اكتفى بتدوين الملاحظات».
وكان ماكرون منح رئيس وزرائه المستقيل مهلة حتى مساء الأربعاء للتوصل إلى تسوية مع أحزاب المعارضة بشأن الموازنة القادمة، وإيجاد مخرج من الأزمة، عقب استقالة لوكورنو وانهيار حكومته.
غير أن لوكورنو بدا متفائلاً إزاء المفاوضات، وقال اليوم: احتمالية إجراء انتخابات مبكرة خلال الأسابيع القادمة «بدأت تتراجع»، موضحاً أنه يحمل «أخباراً جيدة» تتعلق بـ«الرغبة في التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن ميزانية فرنسا قبل 31 ديسمبر».
The Socialist Party announced the failure of talks regarding the possibility of appointing a leftist figure to head the government following the resignation of Sébastien Lecornu. Today (Wednesday), the leader of the far-right "National Rally," Marine Le Pen, threatened to topple any Prime Minister appointed by President Emmanuel Macron unless he calls for new elections.
Le Pen claimed at a press conference that "every new government is a way to circumvent the will of the people," accusing other parties of being afraid to return to the ballot boxes, fearing they would lose their seats, at a time when the "National Rally" could emerge stronger from this process, according to Politico magazine.
Early Elections
Le Pen's statements come at a time when the resigned Prime Minister Lecornu is seeking a way out of the political crisis triggered by his resignation last Monday.
The "National Rally," along with other political parties that believe they can seize a majority of the currently suspended National Assembly seats, wants the French president to call for early parliamentary elections.
The crisis in France has worsened since the decision to dissolve parliament last year and the fall of two consecutive Prime Ministers, François Bayrou last month, and then Sébastien Lecornu last Monday.
Appointment of a Leftist Prime Minister
Politico magazine reported that Macron is considering appointing a leftist Prime Minister to overcome the impasse, noting that the Socialist Party is among the leading candidates to lead a minority government that will need to secure at least implicit support from the rest of the left and centrist parties close to the French president.
The Socialist Party conditioned its participation in any settlement on Macron's willingness to suspend the controversial pension reform of 2023, which raised the minimum retirement age to 64 years and is being implemented gradually, while its suspension would keep the minimum age at 63 years.
The Socialist Party had announced earlier today, after exiting high-level talks, that no agreement had been reached regarding the appointment of a leftist figure to head the government.
No Guarantees for Pension Reform
The leader of the Socialist Party, Olivier Faure, stated that his party had not received "any guarantees" from the resigned Prime Minister regarding Macron's willingness to suspend the pension reform, indicating that Lecornu "only took notes."
Macron had given his resigned Prime Minister a deadline until Wednesday evening to reach a settlement with the opposition parties regarding the upcoming budget and to find a way out of the crisis following Lecornu's resignation and the collapse of his government.
However, Lecornu appeared optimistic about the negotiations, stating today that the likelihood of early elections in the coming weeks "has begun to diminish," clarifying that he has "good news" regarding "the desire to reach an agreement on France's budget before December 31."
