أعلن وزير الثقافة الليتواني إيغنوتاس أدومافيشوس، الذي عُيّن قبل أسبوع فقط، استقالته يوم (الجمعة) تحت ضغط شديد من رئيسة الوزراء إنغريدا شيمونيتي، بعد رفضه الإجابة الفورية عن سؤال حول تبعية شبه جزيرة القرم.
وذكر بيان لهيئة لإذاعة والتلفزيون الليتواني أنه بناءً على إصرار رئيسة الوزراء إنغريدا شيمونيت، أعلن وزير الثقافة إيغنوتاس أدومافيشوس استقالته «حيث لم يتمكن الوزير في مقابلة مع بوابة lrytas.lt من الإجابة فورا عن سؤال حول تبعية القرم، واتهم الصحفية بالاستفزاز».
القشة التي قصمت ظهر البعير
واعتبرت الهيئة الليتوانية أنه هذه الواقعة كانت هي «القشة التي قصمت ظهر البعير» بالنسبة لرئيسة الوزراء، التي اقترحت على أدومافيشوس تقديم استقالته طوعياً.
ونقلت الوسيلة الإعلامية عن أدومافيشوس قوله إنه وعائلته يتعرضون «لضغوط شديدة» وإنهم «لا يشعرون بالأمان في الشارع».
وتولى أدومافيشوس منصب وزير الثقافة في 25 سبتمبر ضمن الحكومة الليتوانية الجديدة، وقد أثار ترشيحه أكبر الجدالات بين جميع أعضاء الحكومة الليتوانية الجديدة، حيث كان يعمل سابقاً في بيع العجائن والمعكرونة ولم يكن له أي علاقة بالمجال الثقافي، حيث نظم نشطاء الثقافة مسيرة في فيلنيوس الخميس الماضي احتجاجاً على تعيينه.
وينتمي أدومافيشوس إلى حزب «فجر نيموناس» المثير للجدل، ويعترض عليه كثيرون في ليتوانيا بسبب آرائه المعارضة لعملية إزالة التراث السوفييتي ودعوته لفرض عقوبات أشد على الفنانين ذوي الروابط بالكرملين أو الذين أدّوا في روسيا أو القرم.
وأدى الحدث إلى إدانة من إدارة الرئاسة الليتوانية، التي وصفت موقفه بأنه «غير مفهوم وغير مقبول»، مما يثير تساؤلات حول صلاحيته للمنصب في سياق دعم ليتوانيا القوي لأوكرانيا.
The Lithuanian Minister of Culture, Ignas Adomavičius, who was appointed just a week ago, announced his resignation on (Friday) under intense pressure from Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė, after he refused to immediately answer a question about the status of Crimea.
A statement from the Lithuanian Radio and Television Authority mentioned that, at the insistence of Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė, Minister of Culture Ignas Adomavičius announced his resignation "as the minister was unable to immediately answer a question about the status of Crimea during an interview with the lrytas.lt portal, and accused the journalist of provocation."
The Last Straw
The Lithuanian authority considered this incident to be "the last straw" for the Prime Minister, who suggested that Adomavičius voluntarily resign.
The media outlet reported Adomavičius saying that he and his family are under "intense pressure" and that they "do not feel safe on the streets."
Adomavičius took office as Minister of Culture on September 25 as part of the new Lithuanian government, and his nomination sparked the greatest controversies among all members of the new Lithuanian government, as he previously worked in selling pastries and pasta and had no connection to the cultural field, prompting cultural activists to organize a march in Vilnius last Thursday in protest of his appointment.
Adomavičius belongs to the controversial "Awakening of Neman" party, and many in Lithuania oppose him due to his views against the removal of Soviet heritage and his calls for harsher penalties on artists with ties to the Kremlin or who performed in Russia or Crimea.
The event led to condemnation from the Lithuanian presidential administration, which described his stance as "incomprehensible and unacceptable," raising questions about his suitability for the position in the context of Lithuania's strong support for Ukraine.
