رحبت قطر بتوقيع الرئيس الأمريكي اليوم (الأربعاء) أمرا تنفيذياً، يؤكد أن أي هجوم مسلح على أراضيها يعتبر تهديداً للسلام والأمن في الولايات المتحدة، مؤكدة في بيان نشرته وزارة الخارجية القطرية أن الأمر التنفيذي يعد تجسيداً للعلاقة المتينة والتاريخية بين قطر وأمريكا القائمة على التعاون والشراكة في مجالات الوساطة وفض النزاعات وقضايا الأمن والسلم العالميين.
تعزيز للعلاقة بين قطر وأمريكا
واعتبرت الوزارة الأمر خطوة مهمة في طريق تعزيز العلاقات الدفاعية الوثيقة بين البلدين، معربة عن تقدير قطر الكامل للدور الأمريكي المهم في توطيد السلم الإقليمي.
وجددت الوزارة التأكيد على أن هذه الخطوة ستسهم في تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في المجالات الأمنية والدبلوماسية، معلنة استمرار قطر في العمل مع الولايات المتحدة وشركائها الدوليين كوسيط دولي موثوق، من أجل مواجهة التحديات المشتركة وتعزيز فض النزاعات بالسبل السلمية وتحقيق السلام المستدام في المنطقة.
أمر تنفيذي أمريكي لحماية قطر
وكان ترمب تعهد، في أمر تنفيذي، بالتعامل مع أي هجوم مسلح على قطر باعتباره تهديداً لأمن الولايات المتحدة، بحسب وثيقة نشرت اليوم، وجاء فيها أن بإمكان القوات الأمريكية التدخل للدفاع عن قطر.
ويأتي الأمر التنفيذي بعد أن شنت إسرائيل الشهر الماضي غارة على الدوحة، بهدف اغتيال قياديين بحركة حماس، ما تسبب في مقتل حرس أمن قطري وخمسة من عناصر «حماس».
Qatar welcomed the signing by the U.S. President today (Wednesday) of an executive order that confirms any armed attack on its territory is considered a threat to peace and security in the United States. In a statement published by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it emphasized that the executive order embodies the strong and historical relationship between Qatar and America, based on cooperation and partnership in mediation, conflict resolution, and global security and peace issues.
Strengthening the Relationship Between Qatar and America
The ministry considered the order an important step towards enhancing the close defense relations between the two countries, expressing Qatar's full appreciation for the significant American role in consolidating regional peace.
The ministry reiterated that this step will contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation in security and diplomatic fields, announcing Qatar's continued work with the United States and its international partners as a reliable international mediator, to face common challenges, promote conflict resolution through peaceful means, and achieve sustainable peace in the region.
U.S. Executive Order to Protect Qatar
Trump pledged, in an executive order, to treat any armed attack on Qatar as a threat to U.S. security, according to a document published today, which stated that U.S. forces could intervene to defend Qatar.
This executive order comes after Israel launched an airstrike on Doha last month, aiming to assassinate leaders of Hamas, which resulted in the death of Qatari security personnel and five members of Hamas.
