جدّد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب الإعلان عن أنه أنهى 8 حروب ويستحق لذلك جائزة نوبل للسلام، مضيفاً في خطاب ألقاه أمام كبار القادة العسكريين، في كوانتيكو بولاية فرجينيا، اليوم (الثلاثاء): «إنهم لن يمنحوها لي، بل لأي شخص ألف كتاباً ضده».
ونوه ترمب بما وصفه «قدراته على صنع السلام»، إلا أنه لفت إلى أن الصراعات في غزة وأوكرانيا لا تزال مستعرة رغم وساطة إدارته. وهدد حركة حماس بمصير قاتم إن لم توافق على خطته لإنهاء الحرب في غزة.
ترمب يهدد بمواجهة بوتين
كما أضاف في خطاب ألقاه أمام العسكريين في كوانتيكو بولاية فرجينيا، أن الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين والرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي بحاجة إلى التعاون لتسوية الصراع وإنهاء الحرب. وقال «سنواجه بوتين بقوة لإنهاء حرب أوكرانيا».

وتحدث ترمب عن سياسته التي أنهت فوضى السنوات الـ 4 الماضية، في إشارة إلى عهد الرئيس السابق جو بايدن. واعتبر أن تغيير اسم وزارة الدفاع، إلى وزارة الحرب جاء تماشياً مع سياسته القادمة، مشدداً على أنه أعاد بناء الجيش الأمريكي.
طائرات مقاتلة من الجيل السادس
ولفت إلى أن الولايات المتحدة متفوقة على كافة البلدان في كل المجالات العسكرية، كاشفا أن بلاده تستعد لإنتاج طائرة مقاتلة جديدة من الجيل السادس.
وكانت وزارة الدفاع «البنتاغون» دعت إلى اجتماع عاجل لقيادات الجيش لمناقشة التغييرات، وسط انتقادات من رئيس الأركان دان كاين ومسؤولين آخرين، أثار مخاوف جدية بشأن «استراتيجية الدفاع الوطني» الجديدة لإدارة الرئيس ترمب، وكشف عن انقسام بين القيادة السياسية للبنتاغون والعسكريين، بعد استدعاء وزير الدفاع بيت هيجسيث لمئات من كبار قادة الجيش عبر أنحاء العالم، في اجتماع غير معهود، عقد (الثلاثاء).
انتقاد استراتيجية الجيش الجديدة
ونقلت صحيفة «واشنطن بوست»، عن مسؤولين حاليين وسابقين قولهم: إن عدداً من قادة الجيش بينهم رئيس الأركان دان كاين، انتقدوا الاستراتيجية الجديدة، في وقت يسعى هيجسيث لترتيب أولويات الجيش ليوجه تركيز البنتاغون على التهديدات للأمن الداخلي، ويقلص المنافسة مع الصين، ويقلل من الدور الأمريكي في أوروبا وأفريقيا.
وتضمنت الاستراتيجية الدفاعية المؤقتة التي كشفت «واشنطن بوست» تفاصيلها في مارس، تركيزاً مشابهاً على تايوان والدفاع عن البلاد، إلى حد دعوة قادة البنتاغون إلى «تحمّل المخاطر»، في مناطق أخرى من العالم لتلبية هاتين الأولويتين.
ولفتت إلى الاستراتيجية الناشئة لاستخدام الأفراد العسكريين بشكل أكثر حزماً في الداخل والخارج.

Trump noted what he described as his "capabilities for making peace," but pointed out that the conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine are still raging despite his administration's mediation. He threatened Hamas with a grim fate if they do not agree to his plan to end the war in Gaza.

He also added in a speech delivered to the military in Quantico, Virginia, that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky need to cooperate to settle the conflict and end the war. He said, "We will confront Putin strongly to end the Ukraine war."

He pointed out that the United States is superior to all countries in all military fields, revealing that his country is preparing to produce a new sixth-generation fighter jet.
The Department of Defense "Pentagon" called for an urgent meeting of military leaders to discuss the changes, amid criticisms from Chief of Staff Dan Cain and other officials, who raised serious concerns about the new "National Defense Strategy" of the Trump administration, revealing a divide between the political leadership of the Pentagon and the military, after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth summoned hundreds of senior military leaders from around the world for an unprecedented meeting held (Tuesday).
Criticism of the New Army Strategy
The Washington Post reported that current and former officials said that a number of military leaders, including Chief of Staff Dan Cain, criticized the new strategy, at a time when Hegseth is trying to prioritize the army to focus the Pentagon on threats to domestic security, reduce competition with China, and lessen the U.S. role in Europe and Africa.
The interim defense strategy, details of which were revealed by The Washington Post in March, included a similar focus on Taiwan and defending the country, to the extent of calling Pentagon leaders to "take risks" in other parts of the world to meet these two priorities.
It highlighted the emerging strategy to use military personnel more assertively both domestically and abroad.
