أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أنه أمر وزارة الحرب بإرسال قوات إلى مدينة بورتلاند في ولاية أوريجون، استجابة لما وصفه بـ«الهجمات» التي تتعرض لها منشآت إدارة الهجرة والجمارك ICE من قبل «إرهابيين محليين»، منهم حركة «أنتيفا» اليسارية المناهضة للفاشية، والمصنفة «منظمة إرهابية».
وقال ترمب على منصة «تروث سوشيال»: «بناءً على طلب وزيرة الأمن الداخلي كريستي نويم، أوجّه وزير الحرب بيت هيجسيث بتوفير كل ما يلزم من قوات لحماية بورتلاند التي دمّرتها الحرب، وأي من منشآت إدارة الهجرة والجمارك التي تتعرض لهجوم من أنتيفا وغيرها من الإرهابيين المحليين». وأكد أنه يسمح باستخدام «القوة الكاملة إذا لزم الأمر».
وصعّد الرئيس الجمهوري منذ اغتيال الناشط اليميني تشارلي كيرك، من جهوده لمواجهة ما يسميه بـ«اليسار الراديكالي»، الذي يُحمّله مسؤولية تصاعد «العنف السياسي».
العيش في الجحيم
وكان ترمب شبه العيش في بورتلاند «بالعيش في الجحيم»، وقال إنه يدرس إرسال قوات فيدرالية، لافتاً إلى أن الهدف مكافحة الجريمة في مدن أخرى، من بينها شيكاجو وبالتيمور.
ونشر ترمب الحرس الوطني في لوس أنجلوس خلال الصيف، بالتوازي مع توليه الإشراف على السيطرة الأمنية بالعاصمة واشنطن.
وبينما تستعد مدينة ممفيس في ولاية تينيسي لوصول أعداد كبيرة من قوات الحرس الوطني، قال الحاكم الجمهوري بيل لي، الجمعة، إن هذه القوات ستكون جزءاً من تعزيز الموارد لمكافحة الجريمة في المدينة.
ما هي حركة «أنتيفا»؟
تُعد «أنتيفا» حركة غير مركزية تضم نشطاء يتقاسمون بعض الأفكار والتكتيكات، وقد برز حضورهم في عدد من الاحتجاجات التي شهدتها الولايات المتحدة خلال السنوات الأخيرة، من أبرزها مناهضتهم لمسيرة «توحيد اليمين» في شارلوتسفيل بولاية فيرجينيا عام 2017.
ومنذ ذلك العام انخرطت الحركة في عدد من الفعاليات الاحتجاجية في مختلف ولايات أمريكا، أولاها كان يوم تنصيب دونالد ترمب رئيساً للولايات المتحدة يوم 20 يناير 2017، إذ قادت الحركة احتجاجات عنيفة في العاصمة واشنطن، تخللتها أعمال تخريب وتدمير للممتلكات وإشعال للنيران.
وظهرت الحركة مجدداً، حين انخرطت في مواجهات عنيفة مع تجمع نظمه القوميون البيض (حركة يمينية) في مدينة «شارلوتسفيل» بولاية فرجينيا.
وأغلق أعضاء الحركة منافذ حديقة «إيمانسيبيشن»، لمنع اليمينيين من دخول الحديقة، حيث كانوا ينوون التظاهر ما أسفر عن اشتباكات عنيفة، إذ أقدم بعض أعضاء «أنتيفا» على رش مواد كيميائية على خصومهم، وفقاً لما أوردته مجلة «ذا نيويوركر».
وفجر تدخل «أنتيفا» غضب النشطاء اليمينيين الذين أطلقوا في الشهر نفسه عريضة إلكترونية موجهة إلى البيت الأبيض من أجل تصنيفها جماعة إرهابية. وحصلت العريضة على أكثر من 100 ألف توقيع، وفقاً لقناة FoxNews.

The Republican president has intensified his efforts to confront what he calls "radical left," which he blames for the rise of "political violence," since the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
Living in Hell
Trump likened living in Portland to "living in hell," stating that he is considering sending federal troops, noting that the goal is to combat crime in other cities, including Chicago and Baltimore.
Trump deployed the National Guard in Los Angeles during the summer, alongside his oversight of security control in the capital, Washington, D.C.

"Antifa" is a decentralized movement comprising activists who share some ideas and tactics, and they have made their presence known at several protests in the United States in recent years, most notably their opposition to the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.
Since that year, the movement has engaged in a number of protest events across various states in America, the first of which was on the day of Donald Trump's inauguration as President of the United States on January 20, 2017, when the movement led violent protests in the capital, Washington, D.C., which included acts of vandalism, property destruction, and arson.
The movement re-emerged when it engaged in violent confrontations with a rally organized by white nationalists (a right-wing movement) in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Members of the movement blocked entrances to Emancipation Park to prevent right-wing individuals from entering the park, where they intended to protest, resulting in violent clashes, as some Antifa members sprayed chemicals on their opponents, according to The New Yorker magazine.
The intervention of Antifa sparked outrage among right-wing activists who launched an online petition directed at the White House in the same month to classify it as a terrorist group. The petition garnered over 100,000 signatures, according to Fox News.
