فيما فرضت الحكومة السلوفينية حظراً على دخول رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو إلى أراضيها، سلكت رحلة نتنياهو إلى الولايات المتحدة طريقا غير مباشر في محاولة واضحة لتجنب الدول التي يمكنها تنفيذ مذكرة اعتقال معلقة ضده بتهمة ارتكاب جرائم حرب في غزة.
وغادر نتنياهو تل أبيب مساء (الأربعاء)، لكن رحلته، وبحسب موقع تتبع الرحلات الجوية، فإن طائرة نتنياهو بدلاً من أن تحلق عادة فوق عدة دول أوروبية، حلقت على طول البحر الأبيض المتوسط وفوق مضيق جبل طارق.
المجال الجوي الفرنسي
وأفاد الموقع بأن رحلة نتنياهو حلقت لفترة وجيزة فوق اليونان وإيطاليا، لكنها تجنبت تماماً المجال الجوي الفرنسي والإسباني، مما أدى إلى إطالة مدة الرحلة.
ورفض مكتب رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي توضيح سبب اتخاذهم هذا الطريق غير المعتاد.
وحجم نتنياهو أعضاء وفده والصحفيين المرافقين له قبيل سفره، تحت مزاعم الترتيبات الفنية المتعلقة بالجلوس والأمن، إلا أن صحيفة جيروزاليم بوست الإسرائيلية قالت إن ذلك كان وسيلة للتعويض عن الوقود الإضافي المطلوب.
الملاحقة الدولية
وأوضح مصدر دبلوماسي فرنسي أن فرنسا قبلت طلبا إسرائيليا بالتحليق فوق المجال الجوي الفرنسي، لكن نتنياهو قرر سلوك طريق آخر ولا نعرف السبب.
وأصدرت المحكمة الجنائية الدولية مذكرة اعتقال بحق نتنياهو في نوفمبر الماضي بتهم ارتكاب جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية في عزة.

Netanyahu left Tel Aviv on Wednesday evening, but his flight, according to a flight tracking website, instead of flying over several European countries as usual, flew along the Mediterranean Sea and over the Strait of Gibraltar.
French Airspace
The website reported that Netanyahu's flight briefly flew over Greece and Italy, but completely avoided French and Spanish airspace, resulting in a longer flight duration.
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office declined to clarify why they took this unusual route.
Netanyahu sized up the members of his delegation and accompanying journalists before his departure, under the pretext of technical arrangements related to seating and security, but the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post stated that this was a way to compensate for the additional fuel required.
International Prosecution
A French diplomatic source explained that France accepted an Israeli request to fly over French airspace, but Netanyahu decided to take another route, and we do not know the reason.
The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu last November on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
