أعلن المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف، اليوم (الأحد)، أن بوتين، مازال مهتماً ومنفتحاً على تسوية الأزمة الأوكرانية عبر المفاوضات، ويعول على استمرار العمل والتعاون مع الولايات المتحدة في هذا المسار، موضحاً أن بوتين شأنه شأن ترمب وذلك بعد أكد الرئيس الأمريكي أنه يشعر بخيبة أمل.
تعويل على أمريكا
وقال بيسكوف للصحفيين: «ما زال يبدي اهتمامه وانفتاحه لدفع الملف الأوكراني نحو مسار التسوية السلمية» في إشارة إلى ترمب، مضيفاً: «نحن نعوّل على أن تبذل الولايات المتحدة، وعلى رأسها ترمب شخصياً، جهوداً للمساهمة في هذا الأمر، وبعدها سنرى ما ستؤول إليه النتائج».
ورجح المتحدث باسم الكرملين أن تكون بريطانيا قد أطلعت الرئيس الأمريكي على خططها بمواصلة الضغط على روسيا والمضي قدماً في تشديد العقوبات، مشيراً إلى أن هذه التدابير «لا تساهم في (التوصل إلى) التسوية».
ندافع عن أنفسنا
بالمقابل، شدد الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي على ضرورة أن تشعر روسيا بعواقب أفعالها، داعياً لاتخاذ رد فعل مضاد كافٍ لإجبارها على السعي للسلام. وكتب زيلينسكي على حسابه في «إكس»: «في الوقت الحالي ندافع عن أنفسنا ضد الهجمات الروسية يومياً تقريباً، مستعرضاً تقريراً عن الخسائر في الجبهات».
وأشار الرئيس الأوكراني إلى أن التقنيات تُساعد روسيا على إنتاج أسلحة على نطاق واسع، وزعم أن عدم كبح روسيا سيؤدي إلى تهديد أوروبا ومنطقة المحيطين الهندي والهادئ.
وقال زيلينسكي: «يجب أن نقطع جميع طرق الإمداد الممكنة ووسائل التهرب من العقوبات، وأن نضغط على الدول والشركات التي تُساعدها»، مضيفاً: نعوّل على أن تكون حزمة عقوبات الاتحاد الأوروبي التاسعة عشرة مؤلمةً حقاً، وعلى الولايات المتحدة أن تنضم إلى الأوروبيين.
The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced today (Sunday) that Putin remains interested and open to resolving the Ukrainian crisis through negotiations, relying on continued work and cooperation with the United States in this regard, clarifying that Putin is similar to Trump, especially after the American president expressed his disappointment.
Reliance on America
Peskov told reporters: "He still shows his interest and openness to push the Ukrainian file towards a peaceful settlement," referring to Trump, adding: "We rely on the United States, led by Trump personally, to make efforts to contribute to this matter, and then we will see what the results will be."
The Kremlin spokesman suggested that Britain may have informed the American president of its plans to continue pressuring Russia and move forward with tightening sanctions, noting that these measures "do not contribute to (reaching) a settlement."
We Defend Ourselves
In contrast, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need for Russia to feel the consequences of its actions, calling for a sufficient counter-reaction to force it to seek peace. Zelensky wrote on his account on "X": "Currently, we are defending ourselves against Russian attacks almost daily, reviewing a report on losses at the fronts."
The Ukrainian president pointed out that technologies are helping Russia produce weapons on a large scale, claiming that failing to curb Russia will pose a threat to Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.
Zelensky said: "We must cut off all possible supply routes and means of evading sanctions, and we must pressure the countries and companies that assist them," adding: "We rely on the nineteenth package of EU sanctions to be truly painful, and the United States must join the Europeans."
