أصدرت الهيئة العامة للاستعلامات المصرية بيانا رسميا مساء السبت، ردا على تقارير إعلامية تحدثت عن «تواجد غير مبرر» للقوات المسلحة المصرية في شبه جزيرة سيناء. وأكدت أن أي نشر عسكري هناك يتم بقرار من قيادة الجيش العليا، لحماية الأمن القومي المصري، واستنادا إلى «ثوابت الدولة» في الاتجاهات الإستراتيجية الأربعة المحيطة بالحدود.
التزام بالمعاهدات الدولية
شددت الهيئة على التزام مصر بالقانون الدولي والمعاهدات الموقعة، بما في ذلك اتفاقية السلام مع إسرائيل، مشيرة إلى أن «حرب الإبادة الشرسة في غزة منذ نحو عامين»، وعلى بعد أمتار من الحدود الشرقية، توجب استعدادا كاملا لمواجهة أي تهديد يمس السيادة المصرية.
الجيش لحماية كل شبر من أرض الوطن
وأوضح البيان أن «تواجد الجيش في سيناء أو غيرها من أراضي البلاد يأتي للحماية في كل شبر من أرض مصر»، داعيا إلى تجاهل «الأخبار المغرضة» التي تحاول النيل من الجهود الدفاعية المصرية.
تصعيد إعلامي إسرائيلي وضغوط سياسية
جاء البيان في ظل تصعيد إعلامي إسرائيلي، بعدما نقلت قناة 12 الإسرائيلية وموقع «أكسيوس» عن مصادر أن تل أبيب طلبت من واشنطن الضغط على القاهرة بشأن «تعزيزات عسكرية» في سيناء، وسط مزاعم بانتهاك معاهدة كامب ديفيد.
خلفية التوترات
مع اندلاع حرب غزة في أكتوبر 2023، التي أسفرت عن مقتل أكثر من 64 ألف فلسطيني ونزوح 90% من السكان وفق منظمة الصحة العالمية، عززت مصر تواجدها العسكري في سيناء لمنع تدفق اللاجئين عبر معبر رفح ـ الذي أُغلق جزئيا في مايو 2024 عقب اقتحام إسرائيلي ـ وردع التهديدات الإرهابية. وأثار ذلك احتجاجات إسرائيلية متكررة في فبراير ومارس 2025، وصفها محللون بأنها «ضغط إعلامي» لصرف الأنظار عن فشل الحرب في غزة.
لا انتهاكات مصرية.. وتخوف من خطط إسرائيلية
وبحسب تقارير القوات متعددة الجنسيات، لم تُسجَّل أي انتهاكات مصرية صريحة، إلا أن التوترات تصاعدت مع مخاوف مصرية من «خطط إسرائيلية لإجبار اللاجئين على الدخول إلى سيناء»، وهو ما أكدته القاهرة في قمة الدوحة سبتمبر 2025.
جزء من إستراتيجية أوسع
واعتبر البيان أن هذا التواجد العسكري جزء من إستراتيجية مصرية أوسع للأمن القومي، يشرف عليها الجيش باعتباره الجهاز الأمني الرئيسي، مع الالتزام بالقانون الدولي الإنساني الذي يحمي المدنيين ويمنع الانتهاكات، وفق اتفاقية جنيف 1949.
The Egyptian General Authority for Information issued an official statement on Saturday evening in response to media reports discussing the "unjustified presence" of the Egyptian armed forces in the Sinai Peninsula. The authority emphasized Egypt's commitment to international law and signed treaties, including the peace agreement with Israel, noting that the "fierce genocide war in Gaza for nearly two years," just meters from the eastern border, necessitates full preparedness to face any threat to Egyptian sovereignty.
The Army to Protect Every Inch of the Homeland
The statement clarified that "the presence of the army in Sinai or other parts of the country is for the protection of every inch of Egyptian land," calling for disregard of "malicious news" that seeks to undermine Egyptian defensive efforts.
Israeli Media Escalation and Political Pressure
The statement came amid an Israeli media escalation, after Israeli Channel 12 and the Axios website reported that Tel Aviv requested Washington to pressure Cairo regarding "military reinforcements" in Sinai, amid allegations of violating the Camp David Accords.
Background of the Tensions
With the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, which resulted in the deaths of more than 64,000 Palestinians and the displacement of 90% of the population according to the World Health Organization, Egypt reinforced its military presence in Sinai to prevent the flow of refugees through the Rafah crossing — which was partially closed in May 2024 following an Israeli incursion — and to deter terrorist threats. This led to repeated Israeli protests in February and March 2025, which analysts described as "media pressure" to divert attention from the failure of the war in Gaza.
No Egyptian Violations... Concerns Over Israeli Plans
According to reports from the Multinational Force, no explicit Egyptian violations were recorded; however, tensions escalated with Egyptian concerns over "Israeli plans to force refugees into Sinai," which Cairo confirmed at the Doha Summit in September 2025.
Part of a Broader Strategy
The statement considered this military presence as part of a broader Egyptian strategy for national security, overseen by the army as the main security apparatus, while adhering to international humanitarian law that protects civilians and prevents violations, according to the 1949 Geneva Convention.
