قلل الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان، اليوم (السبت)، من أهمية العقوبات الغربية «سناب باك» على بلاده، مؤكداً أنهم لا يستطيعون أيقاف طهران وتوعد بعدم الإستسلام لهم.
ونقلت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية عن بزشكيان قوله خلال مراسم تكريم حاملي ميداليات الأولمبيادات العلمية العالمية: «الغرب لا يستطيع أن يوقفنا، لقد ضربوا نطنز لكنهم غافلون عن أن الأيدي والبشر هم من يبني نطنز وما هو أهم من نطنز، وسيستمرون في بنائه»، مضيفاً: «الضربات العسكرية لن تمنعنا من إعادة بناء برنامجنا النووي».
لن ننحني
وشدد بالقول: «يكفي الإيمان بقدرتنا على تجاوز العقبات، وأن من ينوي السوء في هذه البلاد لا يستطيع عرقلة طريقنا ولا يمكنهم بأي حال من الأحوال عرقلة من يمتلك العزيمة والإرادة والقدرة على التقدم، لن نستسلم أبداً للتجاوزات ولن ننحني، لأننا نملك القدرة والقوة على التغيير».
وكان نائب
وزير الخارجية الإيراني كاظم غريب آبادي، قد هدد في وقت سابق اليوم، بتعليق التفاهم المبرم بين إيران والوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية في القاهرة بشكل كامل إذا فعّل مجلس الأمن الدولي العقوبات على بلاده.
لدينا ردود مناسبة
ونقلت وكالة «مهر» الإيرانية للأنباء عن آبادي قوله: «هناك فرصة لمنع عودة العقوبات حتى أسبوع واحد، إذا لم يتم اتخاذ أي إجراء دبلوماسي محدّد وعادت العقوبات، فإن تعليق تنفيذ التفاهم مع الوكالة أمر منطقي وبديهي تماماً»، موضحاً أن إيران ستتصرف بيقظة تامة ضد الأعمال العدائية، وأن لديها ردوداً مناسبة على أجندتها.
وكان مجلس الأمن الدولي قد أقر، أمس (الجمعة)، عدم رفع العقوبات المفروضة على إيران بشكل دائم، وذلك عقب فشل أعضاء مجلس الأمن الدولي، خلال الجلسة، في تبني مشروع قرار يهدف لمنع تفعيل آلية الزناد (سناب باك) لإعادة العقوبات على إيران التي رفعت بموجب الاتفاق النووي لعام 2015.
ومن المتوقع أن تدخل العقوبات الاقتصادية التي فُرضت لأول مرة بين 2006 و2010 حيز التنفيذ مرة أخرى في 28 سبتمبر الجاري، ما لم يتم التوصل إلى اتفاق في اللحظة الأخيرة مع طهران.
Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian downplayed the significance of the Western "snapback" sanctions on his country today (Saturday), asserting that they cannot stop Tehran and vowing not to surrender to them.
According to the Iranian news agency "Tasnim," Bezhakian stated during a ceremony honoring holders of global scientific Olympiad medals: "The West cannot stop us; they struck Natanz, but they are oblivious to the fact that hands and people are what build Natanz and what is more important than Natanz, and they will continue to build it," adding, "Military strikes will not prevent us from rebuilding our nuclear program."
We Will Not Bow
He emphasized by saying: "It is enough to believe in our ability to overcome obstacles, and those who intend evil in this country cannot obstruct our path, nor can they in any way hinder those who possess determination, will, and the ability to advance. We will never surrender to transgressions, and we will not bow, because we have the ability and strength to change."
Earlier today, Iranian Deputy
Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib Abadi threatened to completely suspend the understanding reached between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency in Cairo if the United Nations Security Council activated sanctions against his country.
We Have Appropriate Responses
The Iranian news agency "Mehr" quoted Abadi as saying: "There is a chance to prevent the return of sanctions for up to one week. If no specific diplomatic action is taken and sanctions return, then suspending the implementation of the understanding with the agency is completely logical and intuitive," clarifying that Iran will act with full vigilance against hostile actions and that it has appropriate responses to its agenda.
The United Nations Security Council had approved yesterday (Friday) the permanent maintenance of sanctions imposed on Iran, following the failure of Security Council members during the session to adopt a draft resolution aimed at preventing the activation of the snapback mechanism to reimpose sanctions on Iran that were lifted under the 2015 nuclear agreement.
The economic sanctions, which were first imposed between 2006 and 2010, are expected to come into effect again on September 28 unless a last-minute agreement is reached with Tehran.
