قُتل إسرائيليان اليوم (الخميس)، في إطلاق نار على المعبر الحدودي مع الأردن، وبحسب وسائل إعلامية، فإن القتيلين جنديان إسرائيليان كانا على معبر جسر الملك حسين الحدودي بين الأردن وإسرائيل.
وأشارت إلى أنه تم إغلاق معبر جسر الملك حسين الحدودي بين إسرائيل والأردن، وبحسب إذاعة الجيش الإسرائيلي، فإن مسلحين وصلوا من الجانب الأردني ونفذوا العملية في المعبر الحدودي.
وذكر جيش الاحتلال أنه يحقق في عملية إطلاق نار في المعبر الحدودي مع الأردن.
من جهته، قال وزير الاتصال الحكومي المتحدث باسم الحكومة الأردنية الدكتور محمد المومني: «نتابع ما يجري تداوله من أنباء حول وجود حدث أمني على الطرف الآخر من معبر الكرامة»، مشيراً في منشور على حسابه في «إكس» إلى أن الجهات الأردنية المختصة تتابع الأمر، وسنعلن عن أية تفاصيل حال ورودها.
ويقع المعبر شرق مدينة أريحا الفلسطينية، وهو الوحيد الواصل بين الضفة الغربية المحتلة والأردن، وتسيطر عليه إسرائيل من الجانب الفلسطيني، وله 3 تسميات أردنية وهي «جسر الملك حسين»، وأخرى فلسطينية «الكرامة»، وإسرائيلية «اللنبي».
Two Israelis were killed today (Thursday) in a shooting at the border crossing with Jordan. According to media reports, the victims were Israeli soldiers stationed at the King Hussein Bridge crossing between Jordan and Israel.
It was noted that the King Hussein Bridge border crossing between Israel and Jordan has been closed, and according to the Israeli army radio, armed individuals arrived from the Jordanian side and carried out the operation at the border crossing.
The occupation army stated that it is investigating the shooting incident at the border crossing with Jordan.
For his part, Jordanian government spokesman and Minister of Government Communication Dr. Muhammad Momani said: "We are monitoring the news regarding a security incident on the other side of the Al-Karama crossing," indicating in a post on his account on "X" that the relevant Jordanian authorities are following the matter, and we will announce any details as they become available.
The crossing is located east of the Palestinian city of Jericho and is the only link between the occupied West Bank and Jordan. It is controlled by Israel from the Palestinian side and has three names: the Jordanian name "King Hussein Bridge," the Palestinian name "Al-Karama," and the Israeli name "Allenby."
