أعلنت وزارة الداخلية السورية اليوم (الإثنين)، عن ضبط كمية من الأسلحة كانت معدة للتهريب إلى خارج البلاد وذلك بالتعاون مع وزارة الدفاع، موضحة أن العملية جرت في ريف دمشق.
وأوضحت الوزارة في بيان، أنه في إطار جهود مكافحة تهريب السلاح وحصره بيد الدولة تمكنت وزارتا الدفاع والداخلية من ضبط كميات كبيرة من الأسلحة المتنوعة، الثقيلة والخفيفة، إلى جانب ذخائر مختلفة الأنواع، كانت معدة للتهريب خارج البلاد، ما يشكل تهديدا للأمن والاستقرار بالمنطقة.
ضبط أسلحة في درعا
وكان التلفزيون السوري قد ذكر أن الأمن الداخلي في ريف درعا الغربي تمكن من ضبط كمية كبيرة من الأسلحة والذخائر خلال عملية استهدفت أشخاصاً متورطين بسرقة ثكنات عسكرية إبان سقوط نظام الأسد.

وذكرت وزارة الداخلية أن مديرية الأمن في منطقة نوى تلقت بلاغاً من الأهالي بوجود أسلحة داخل أحد المنازل في المنطقة، وجرت مداهمة المكان وضبط كميات كبيرة من الأسلحة والذخائر المتنوعة، مشيراً إلى أن التحقيقات بيّنت أن هذه الأسلحة مسروقة من ثكنات عسكرية خلال فترة سقوط نظام الأسد، وكانت معدة لـ«التجارة غير المشروعة».
وأفادت قيادة الأمن في محافظة درعا أنها تواصل جهودها في ملاحقة مصادر السلاح غير القانوني.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced today (Monday) the seizure of a quantity of weapons that were prepared for smuggling outside the country, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, explaining that the operation took place in the countryside of Damascus.
The ministry clarified in a statement that, as part of efforts to combat arms smuggling and to restrict it to the state, the Ministries of Defense and Interior managed to seize large quantities of various weapons, both heavy and light, along with different types of ammunition, which were prepared for smuggling outside the country, posing a threat to security and stability in the region.
Seizure of Weapons in Daraa
Syrian television reported that internal security in the western countryside of Daraa managed to seize a large quantity of weapons and ammunition during an operation targeting individuals involved in stealing military barracks during the fall of the Assad regime.

The Ministry of Interior stated that the security directorate in the Nawa area received a report from residents about the presence of weapons inside one of the houses in the area, and a raid was conducted, resulting in the seizure of large quantities of various weapons and ammunition. It pointed out that investigations revealed that these weapons were stolen from military barracks during the fall of the Assad regime and were prepared for "illegal trade."
The security leadership in Daraa Governorate reported that it continues its efforts to pursue sources of illegal weapons.
