رحب البرلمان العربي باعتماد الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة قراراً يؤيد «إعلان نيويورك» بشأن حل الدولتين، بوصفه خطوة مهمة تعكس الموقف الدولي الراسخ الداعم للحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني، وفي مقدمتها حقه في تقرير المصير وإقامة دولته المستقلة ذات السيادة.
قرار يجسد الإرادة الجماعية للمجتمع الدولي
وقال رئيس البرلمان العربي محمد بن أحمد اليماحي في بيان له:«إن هذا القرار يجسد الإرادة الجماعية للمجتمع الدولي في دعم رؤية حل الدولتين كخيار إستراتيجي وحيد لتحقيق السلام العادل والشامل، وإنهاء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للأراضي الفلسطينية، مثمناً الجهود الكبيرة التي بذلتها السعودية وفرنسا من خلال رعايتهما لمؤتمر التسوية السلمية للقضية الفلسطينية في يوليو الماضي، والذي أفضى إلى اعتماد إعلان نيويورك بوصفه أساساً لتنفيذ حل الدولتين».
وأشاد اليماحي بمواقف الدول التي صوتت لصالح القرار، وثمن دعمها الثابت للقضية الفلسطينية العادلة، مؤكداً أن هذا الموقف يعكس التزامها بالشرعية الدولية والقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة.
اتخاذ خطوات عملية لتنفيذ هذا القرار
ودعا رئيس البرلمان العربي مجلس الأمن الدولي لتحمل مسؤولياته التاريخية، واتخاذ خطوات عملية لتنفيذ هذا القرار، وضمان وقف جرائم كيان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي المستمرة بحق الشعب الفلسطيني، وتهيئة المناخ الملائم لاستئناف عملية السلام الجادة وفق المرجعيات الدولية المتفق عليها، وضمان حرية الشعب الفلسطيني واستقلاله وحقوقه المشروعة غير القابلة للتصرف وإقامة دولته المستقلة ذات السيادة وعاصمتها مدينة القدس، على أساس حل الدولتين وفق قرارات الشرعية الدولية.
The Arab Parliament welcomed the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of a resolution supporting the "New York Declaration" regarding the two-state solution, describing it as an important step that reflects the steadfast international position supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent sovereign state.
A Decision Reflecting the Collective Will of the International Community
The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, stated in a statement: "This decision embodies the collective will of the international community in supporting the vision of the two-state solution as the only strategic option for achieving just and comprehensive peace, and ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. He praised the significant efforts made by Saudi Arabia and France through their sponsorship of the peaceful settlement conference for the Palestinian issue last July, which led to the adoption of the New York Declaration as a basis for implementing the two-state solution."
Al-Yamahi commended the positions of the countries that voted in favor of the resolution and appreciated their steadfast support for the just Palestinian cause, affirming that this position reflects their commitment to international legitimacy, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
Taking Practical Steps to Implement This Decision
The President of the Arab Parliament called on the United Nations Security Council to assume its historical responsibilities and take practical steps to implement this decision, ensure the cessation of the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupying entity against the Palestinian people, and create a conducive environment for resuming a serious peace process in accordance with the agreed-upon international references, guaranteeing the freedom, independence, and inalienable legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and establishing their independent sovereign state with its capital in the city of Jerusalem, based on the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
