The Gulf Cooperation Council condemned, in the strongest terms of denunciation and disapproval, the despicable and cowardly operation carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on the territory of the State of Qatar.

Secretary-General Jassim Al-Budaiwi stated that the GCC countries stand in solidarity with Qatar and are united in support of any measures it takes against this treacherous aggression, which has exceeded and torn apart all international laws and treaties recognized by the countries of the world, foremost among them the United Nations. This necessitates that the international community immediately rise to its responsibilities to hold the Israeli occupation forces accountable for their brutal and serious crimes and to deter them from all their practices that have begun to undermine stability and security in the region.

He pointed out that the State of Qatar has made valuable and significant efforts in mediating to resolve regional and international conflicts and to stop the shedding of blood, as acknowledged by many conflicting parties. Qatar always seeks to enhance security and stability in the region and the world. He noted that hosting the negotiating delegation of the political bureau of Hamas is part of efforts to achieve a ceasefire, end the crisis in Gaza, and secure the release of detainees, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
