أكد وزيرا خارجية السعودية ومصر أهمية مواصلة التنسيق الوثيق بين القاهرة والرياض إزاء القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، دعماً للاستقرار وصوناً للمصالح العربية المشتركة.
الأوضاع في قطاع غزة
وبحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية المصرية، جرى، اليوم (الإثنين) اتصال هاتفي بين وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، ونظيره المصري الدكتور بدر عبدالعاطي. واستعرض الوزيران تطورات الأوضاع في قطاع غزة، وأعربا عن رفضهما القاطع للعدوان الإسرائيلي المتواصل على قطاع غزة، والجرائم التى ترتكبها إسرائيل ضد الشعب الفلسطينى الأعزل والتجويع الممنهج، كما تناولا الجهود المبذولة لوقف إطلاق النار وضمان نفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية والإغاثية دون عوائق.
التصعيد في الضفة الغربية
وتناول الوزيران أيضاً التصعيد الإسرائيلى الخطير في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، بما في ذلك التوسع الاستيطاني غير القانوني، وشددا على الرفض القاطع لهذه الممارسات التي تُعد انتهاكاً جسيماً للقانون الدولي.
تطورات السودان
من ناحية أخرى، تناول الوزيران تطورات الأوضاع فى السودان، وأكد الوزير عبدالعاطي دعم مصر مؤسسات الدولة السودانية، وأهمية التوصل لوقف فوري لإطلاق النار، ووضع حد للمعاناة الإنسانية التي يمر بها الشعب السوداني الشقيق.
The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Egypt emphasized the importance of continuing close coordination between Cairo and Riyadh regarding regional and international issues, in support of stability and safeguarding common Arab interests.
The situation in the Gaza Strip
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a phone call took place today (Monday) between Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Egyptian counterpart Dr. Badr Abdel Atti. The two ministers reviewed the developments in the Gaza Strip and expressed their strong rejection of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza, the crimes committed by Israel against the defenseless Palestinian people, and the systematic starvation. They also discussed the efforts being made to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the unhindered flow of humanitarian and relief assistance.
Escalation in the West Bank
The ministers also addressed the serious Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank, including illegal settlement expansion, and stressed their firm rejection of these practices, which constitute a grave violation of international law.
Developments in Sudan
On another note, the ministers discussed the developments in Sudan, with Minister Abdel Atti affirming Egypt's support for Sudanese state institutions and the importance of reaching an immediate ceasefire to put an end to the humanitarian suffering faced by the brotherly Sudanese people.
