أعلن الرئيس الإماراتي الشيخ محمد بن زايد والعاهل الأردني عبدالله الثاني، اليوم (الأحد)، موقف بلديهما الرافض لأي توجه إسرائيلي لضم الضفة الغربية أو أي جزء من الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة أو تهجير الفلسطينيين من أرضهم، إضافة إلى خطط التوسع الاستيطاني، في بيان مشترك نقلته وكالة أنباء الإمارات (وام).
القضايا الإقليمية
وناقش الرئيس الإماراتي مع العاهل الأردني في قصر الشاطئ بأبوظبي، عدداً من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية محل الاهتمام المشترك، وتبادلا وجهات النظر بشأنها وفي مقدمتها التطورات التي تشهدها منطقة الشرق الأوسط خصوصاً المستجدات في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة.وأكد الرئيس الإماراتي والعاهل الأردني موقف البلدين الثابت تجاه دعم حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق وأهمية العمل الدولي للدفع تجاه إرساء السلام الشامل والعادل الذي يقوم على أساس حل الدولتين، كونه السبيل الوحيد لتحقيق الاستقرار في المنطقة لما فيه مصلحة جميع شعوبها ودولها، مشددين على موقف البلدين الرافض لأي توجه إسرائيلي لضم الضفة الغربية أو أي جزء من الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة أو تهجير الفلسطينيين من أرضهم، إضافة إلى خطط التوسع الاستيطاني.
حل الدولتين
وأكد الزعيمان أن مثل هذه الإجراءات يقوض حل الدولتين، ويهدد الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين وفرص تحقيق السلام في المنطقة، منددين بالتصريحات الإسرائيلية التي تنطوي على تهديد لسيادة دول المنطقة.
وأفاد البيان أن الشيخ محمد بن زايد والعاهل الأردني بحثا العلاقات الأخوية ومختلف جوانب التعاون والعمل المشترك بين البلدين، وأكدا حرصهما على مواصلة تعزيزهما بما يخدم مصالحهما المتبادلة ويعود بالخير على شعبيهما.وشددا على حرصهما المشترك على مواصلة التشاور الأخوي والتنسيق المشترك بين البلدين خصوصاً في ظل التطورات التي تمر بها المنطقة.
The Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the Jordanian King Abdullah II announced today (Sunday) their countries' position rejecting any Israeli move to annex the West Bank or any part of the occupied Palestinian territories or to displace Palestinians from their land, in addition to plans for settlement expansion, in a joint statement reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Regional Issues
The Emirati President discussed with the Jordanian King at the Al-Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi several regional and international issues of mutual interest, exchanging views on them, particularly the developments in the Middle East, especially the latest events in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Emirati President and the Jordanian King reaffirmed the steadfast position of both countries in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and the importance of international efforts to promote a comprehensive and just peace based on the two-state solution, as it is the only way to achieve stability in the region for the benefit of all its peoples and countries, emphasizing their rejection of any Israeli move to annex the West Bank or any part of the occupied Palestinian territories or to displace Palestinians from their land, in addition to plans for settlement expansion.
Two-State Solution
The two leaders affirmed that such actions undermine the two-state solution and threaten regional security and stability as well as the chances of achieving peace in the region, condemning the Israeli statements that imply a threat to the sovereignty of the countries in the region.
The statement indicated that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and the Jordanian King discussed the fraternal relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the two countries, reaffirming their commitment to continue strengthening them in a way that serves their mutual interests and benefits their peoples. They emphasized their shared commitment to continue fraternal consultation and joint coordination between the two countries, especially in light of the developments taking place in the region.
