ضبطت السلطات اليمنية اليوم (السبت)، شحنة أسلحة مهربة في عرض البحر الأحمر، في عملية نوعية، بحسب المركز الإعلامي للمقاومة الوطنية.
وأوضح الإعلام العسكري التابع للمقاومة الوطنية، أحد فصائل الجيش اليمني، أن العملية جاءت بعد تلقي معلومات استخباراتية دقيقة عن وجود «جلبة» مشبوهة كانت تبحر بالقرب من الممر الملاحي الدولي، مبينة أن إحدى الدوريات البحرية تحركت على الفور، واعترضت القارب واقتادته إلى مكان آمن وجرى تفريغ شحنة من المسدسات المهربة.
توقيف المهربين
وأفاد الإعلام أن أفراد الطاقم جرى توقيفهم ويخضعون حالياً لتحقيقات لمعرفة الجهة التي تقف وراء عملية التهريب.
وبث الإعلام العسكري مقاطع مصورة تظهر القارب المضبوط ومحتوياته، وذلك في عملية جاءت بعد يومين من إحباط تهريب شحنة مخدرات في البحر الأحمر، بقارب مماثل على مقربة من الممر الملاحي الدولي.

وكانت قوات المقاومة الوطنية قط ضبطت أمس الأول31 طرداً تحتوي على 432 كيلوغراماً من مادة «الشبو» المخدرة، قبل إحالة المهربين إلى الجهات المختصة.
وكانت حملة أمنية مشترك في محافظة لحج قد ضبطت الاسبوع الماضي 28500 قرص من مادة البريجابالين المخدِّرة، وألقت القبض على اثنين من عناصر التهريب، كما ضبطت قارباً يحمل 150000 حبة من مخدر الكبتاغون، وأوقفت ثلاثة مهربين في عرض البحر قبالة سواحل باب المندب، وأحالتهم إلى الجهات المختصة.

The Yemeni authorities seized today (Saturday) a shipment of smuggled weapons in the Red Sea, in a qualitative operation, according to the media center of the National Resistance.
The military media affiliated with the National Resistance, one of the factions of the Yemeni army, clarified that the operation came after receiving accurate intelligence about a suspicious "commotion" sailing near the international shipping lane, indicating that one of the naval patrols immediately moved, intercepted the boat, and escorted it to a safe location where a shipment of smuggled pistols was unloaded.
Arrest of the Smugglers
The media reported that the crew members were arrested and are currently undergoing investigations to determine the party behind the smuggling operation.
The military media broadcast video clips showing the seized boat and its contents, in an operation that came two days after thwarting the smuggling of a drug shipment in the Red Sea, with a similar boat near the international shipping lane.

The National Resistance forces had seized 31 packages containing 432 kilograms of the drug "shabu" the day before yesterday, before referring the smugglers to the relevant authorities.
Last week, a joint security campaign in Lahij Governorate seized 28,500 pills of the narcotic pregabalin and arrested two members of the smuggling operation. They also seized a boat carrying 150,000 pills of the drug captagon and arrested three smugglers in the open sea off the coast of Bab al-Mandab, referring them to the relevant authorities.
