رفض الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي دعوة نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين لزيارة موسكو بهدف تسوية النزاع دبلوماسياً، وقال إنها «غير مناسبة» في ظل استمرار الحرب.
وأضاف زيلينسكي في حوار مع شبكة «إي بي سي نيوز» سيبث غداً: «يمكن بوتين القدوم إلى كييف، لا أستطيع الذهاب إلى موسكو، وبلادي تتعرض للقصف الصاروخي يومياً، لا أستطيع الذهاب.. بوتين يتفهم هذا».
هدف بوتين
وأشار إلى أن الرئيس الروسي لا يرغب في لقائه، معتبراً عرض بوتين هدفه إرجاء اللقاء، مبدياً استعداده لعقد اللقاء بأي شكل كان.
واتهم زيلينسكي الرئيس الروسي بأنه يمارس ألعاباً مع الولايات المتحدة، وأنه وضع شروطاً غير مقبولة لمنع إتمام القمة الروسية-الأوكرانية.
وكان الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين خلال الجلسة العامة لمنتدى الشرق الاقتصادي، أمس، قد أكد استعداده للقاء زيلينسكي في موسكو.
مقترح موسكو
وقال بوتين: «إذا كانت القيادة الأوكرانية جادة في رغبتها بالتفاوض، فليأتوا إلى موسكو، وسنضمن لهم الأمن بنسبة 100%»، مشدداً على أن روسيا مستعدة لتقديم ضمانات أمنية كاملة لكل من زيلينسكي وأعضاء الوفد الأوكراني في حال قرروا الحضور إلى العاصمة الروسية.
وأشار الرئيس الروسي إلى أن الاتفاق مع زيلينسكي بشأن القضايا الرئيسية غير ممكن في الوقت الحالي بسبب وجود صعوبات قانونية وتقنية، مبيناً أن روسيا ستمتثل بشكل كامل لاتفاقات السلام بشأن أوكرانيا عندما يتم التوصل إليها.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected Russian President Vladimir Putin's invitation to visit Moscow for the purpose of diplomatically resolving the conflict, stating that it is "inappropriate" amid the ongoing war.
Zelensky added in an interview with ABC News that will air tomorrow: "Putin can come to Kyiv, I cannot go to Moscow, and my country is being bombarded with missiles daily, I cannot go... Putin understands this."
Putin's Goal
He pointed out that the Russian president does not wish to meet him, considering Putin's offer as a way to delay the meeting, expressing his readiness to hold the meeting in any form.
Zelensky accused the Russian president of playing games with the United States, claiming that he set unacceptable conditions to prevent the Russian-Ukrainian summit from taking place.
During the general session of the Eastern Economic Forum yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed his readiness to meet Zelensky in Moscow.
Proposal from Moscow
Putin said: "If the Ukrainian leadership is serious about wanting to negotiate, let them come to Moscow, and we will guarantee their security 100%," emphasizing that Russia is ready to provide full security guarantees for both Zelensky and the Ukrainian delegation if they decide to come to the Russian capital.
The Russian president noted that an agreement with Zelensky on the main issues is currently impossible due to legal and technical difficulties, stating that Russia will fully comply with the peace agreements regarding Ukraine when they are reached.
