اتهم الجيش السوداني، اليوم (السبت)، قوات الدعم السريع بشن قصف مدفعي مكثف على مدينة الفاشر بإقليم دارفور غرب السودان، في وقت دخلت المعارك بينهما مرحلة الكر والفر داخل أحياء المدينة.
وتوغل الدعم السريع أخيراً في المحور الجنوبي الغربي للفاشر مع استمرار قصفها المدفعي اليومي المستمر على وسط وشمال المدينة.
في غضون ذلك، أعلنت شبكة أطباء السودان، اليوم، ارتفاع قتلى الكوادر الطبية خلال الحرب إلى 231 كادراً فيما تجاوز عدد الجرحى منهم 500 وأكثر من 59 مفقوداً.
وذكرت الشبكة في منشور على حسابها في الفيسبوك: إن تلك الحصيلة وثقتها منذ أبريل 2023، موضحة أن مصير المفقودين لا يزال مجهولاً حتى اللحظة.
ودانت شبكة أطباء السودان الاستهداف الممنهج والمتكرر للكوادر الطبية في الحرب الدائرة بالبلاد، مؤكدة أن استهداف الكادر الطبي يُعد جريمة حرب وانتهاكاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي الإنساني، الذي يحظر استهداف الأطباء والمستشفيات وفرق الإغاثة.
وأشارت الشبكة إلى أن استهداف الكوادر الطبية لا يهدّد حياة الأطباء فقط، بل يهدّد حياة مئات الآلاف من المواطنين الذين يعتمدون بشكل أساسي على ما يقدمون من خدمات في ظل الانهيار الصحي.
وكانت الشبكة قد أعلنت في بيان أمس مقتل المدير الطبي لمركز السلام الصحي لجروح السكري الطبيب ضو البيت أحمد في قصف لقوات الداعم السريع على مدينة الفاشر، مبينة أن أحمد قتل أثناء خدمته المرضى والمصابين.
The Sudanese army accused the Rapid Support Forces today (Saturday) of launching intense artillery shelling on the city of El Fasher in the Darfur region of western Sudan, as the battles between them entered a phase of hit-and-run within the neighborhoods of the city.
The Rapid Support Forces have recently advanced in the southwestern axis of El Fasher while continuing their daily artillery bombardment on the center and north of the city.
Meanwhile, the Sudan Doctors Network announced today that the number of medical personnel killed during the war has risen to 231, with more than 500 injured and over 59 missing.
The network stated in a post on its Facebook account that this toll has been documented since April 2023, clarifying that the fate of the missing remains unknown to this moment.
The Sudan Doctors Network condemned the systematic and repeated targeting of medical personnel in the ongoing war in the country, affirming that targeting medical staff constitutes a war crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits targeting doctors, hospitals, and relief teams.
The network pointed out that targeting medical personnel not only threatens the lives of doctors but also endangers the lives of hundreds of thousands of citizens who primarily rely on the services they provide amid the health collapse.
The network had announced in a statement yesterday the killing of Dr. Daw Al-Bayt Ahmed, the medical director of the Peace Health Center for diabetic wounds, during shelling by the Rapid Support Forces on the city of El Fasher, indicating that Ahmed was killed while serving patients and the injured.
