في إطار النجاحات المستمرة للأمن اليمني وخفر السواحل، كشف مصدر أمني يمني أمس (الثلاثاء) عن ضبط الحملة الأمنية المشتركة في مديرية رأس العارة بمحافظة لحج قارباً يحمل شحنة من الحبوب المخدرة.
وقال المصدر: بعد عملية مراقبة ورصد تلتها مطاردة من قبل قوات أمنية بقيادة قائد الفرقة الثانية عمالقة العميد حمدي شكري، ضبطت الأجهزة الأمنية قارباً يحمل 150,000 حبة من مخدر الكبتاغون والمهربين وعددهم ثلاثة، موضحاً أن القارب تم ضبطه في عرض البحر قبالة السواحل القريبة من باب المندب، وقد جرى تحريز المضبوطات والمهربين.
وأشار المصدر إلى أن الدائرة القانونية باشرت بفتح محضر تحقيق في عملية التهريب، تمهيداً لنقل الشحنة والمتهمين إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة.
من جهته، أشاد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اللواء عبدالرحمن المحرمي (أبو زرعة) بيقظة قوات الحملة الأمنية المشتركة في سواحل محافظة لحج، التي وصفها بـ«الناجحة والكبيرة»، مؤكداً أنها تحققت بالشراكة مع الأجهزة الأمنية في مكافحة التهريب وضبط الممنوعات والعمل على تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار.
وشدد المحرمي على مضاعفة الجهود في مكافحة جريمة التهريب، ومنع مرور المواد الخطرة، وخصوصاً المخدرات والأسلحة التي يسعى الحوثي والجماعات الإرهابية الأخرى وعصابات تجارة المخدرات إلى تهريبها عبر السواحل اليمنية.
وكانت الأجهزة الأمنية خلال الأشهر القليلة الماضية قد ضبطت كميات من شحنات المخدرات في السواحل اليمنية وميناء عدن والمنافذ البرية بكميات مرعبة وهائلة، كما ضبطت عدداً من شحنات الأسلحة المهربة، ولقيت هذه اليقظة الأمنية في السواحل اليمنية ترحيباً واهتماماً يمنياً ودولياً كبيرين.
In the context of the ongoing successes of Yemeni security and the coast guard, a Yemeni security source revealed yesterday (Tuesday) that the joint security campaign in the district of Ras al-Arah in Lahij Governorate intercepted a boat carrying a shipment of narcotic pills.
The source stated: After a monitoring and surveillance operation followed by a chase led by the security forces under the command of the commander of the Second Giants Brigade, Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri, the security apparatus seized a boat carrying 150,000 Captagon pills and three smugglers, explaining that the boat was intercepted in open sea off the coast near Bab al-Mandab, and the seized items and the smugglers were secured.
The source indicated that the legal department has begun to open an investigation record into the smuggling operation, in preparation for transferring the shipment and the suspects to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal actions.
For his part, member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Abdulrahman al-Mahrami (Abu Zar'a), praised the vigilance of the joint security campaign forces on the coasts of Lahij Governorate, which he described as "successful and significant," confirming that it was achieved in partnership with the security agencies in combating smuggling and seizing prohibited items and working to enhance security and stability.
Al-Mahrami emphasized the need to double efforts in combating the crime of smuggling, preventing the passage of hazardous materials, especially drugs and weapons that the Houthis, other terrorist groups, and drug trafficking gangs seek to smuggle through Yemeni coasts.
In recent months, the security apparatus has seized quantities of drug shipments on Yemeni coasts, in Aden port, and at land crossings in alarming and massive amounts, as well as intercepting several shipments of smuggled weapons. This security vigilance on Yemeni coasts has received significant attention and appreciation both locally and internationally.
