The security cabinet is scheduled to discuss the Gaza occupation plan this evening (Tuesday), according to the spokesperson for the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israeli media reported that the meeting will discuss the plan to occupy the city of Gaza and resume negotiations regarding a ceasefire and the release of detainees.

The Forum of Families of Israeli Detainees has called for protests today on the sidelines of the security cabinet meeting.

This will be the first time the Israeli cabinet meets since Hamas submitted its response to the mediators regarding its preliminary agreement to a partial deal.

Channel 12 revealed that Netanyahu will not put the offer on the agenda for discussion, while continuing to assert that "any future settlement must be comprehensive and end the war according to Israeli conditions." According to sources close to Netanyahu, the Israeli decision has become final in seeking a complete agreement that ensures the return of all prisoners "without leaving anyone behind bars."

Israeli officials claimed that Hamas's response is merely a "trick," explaining that the movement showed willingness to release only half of the prisoners, while betting that a temporary ceasefire would effectively end the war while it remains in power in the Gaza Strip. The officials described the coordination between Israel and the United States on this issue as "complete and solid," emphasizing that "there will be no partial agreement."

Right-wing ministers Itamar Ben Gvir, Bezalel Smotrich, and Orit Strook are preparing to demand that the position be established with a written and explicit decision from the cabinet that prevents any move towards a partial agreement. However, prevailing estimates in Tel Aviv indicate that these demands will not be met, as the government seeks to keep all options officially open and not restrict itself to a final, irreversible position.



For his part, the Coordinator for Prisoners and Missing Persons, Gal Hirsch, briefed the families of the captives on the latest developments, stating: "Professional-level sessions were held between the Israeli negotiation team and a high-ranking Egyptian delegation that arrived in Israel. The meetings addressed attempts to coordinate the start of negotiations regarding the release of all prisoners and ending the war according to the conditions set by the cabinet."

Channel 12 revealed an expansion of the rift between the political and military leadership. Yesterday, Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi considered that "the army has achieved the three objectives of the first phase of Operation Gideon's Vehicles, and that military pressure has created the necessary conditions for the release of the prisoners," but Netanyahu did not hide his displeasure with these statements, considering that Halevi's public call to move towards a partial agreement, contrary to the cabinet's decision, harms the ongoing negotiations with Hamas.

On the ground, medical sources announced the death of 20 Palestinians due to Israeli shelling on Gaza since the dawn of Tuesday, while eyewitnesses confirmed that at least 100 people were killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours. They added that the Israeli army is carrying out demolitions of entire residential neighborhoods in the Zeitoun and Sabra neighborhoods east of Gaza City.

The war in the Gaza Strip erupted following an attack launched by Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the deaths of 1,219 people, according to a count based on official Israeli data.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen since October 7, 2023, to 62,819 dead and 158,629 injured, while the toll of victims since March 18, 2025, until today stands at 10,975 dead and 46,588 injured.
