دعا وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان المجتمع الدولي إلى سرعة التدخل لوضع حد للجرائم التي ترتكبها قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، والرفض القاطع لإعلان سلطة الاحتلال نيتها فرض السيطرة العسكرية الكاملة على قطاع غزة، مشدداً على ضرورة التصدي الحازم للخطط الرامية لتهجير الشعب الفلسطيني من أرضه.
وأكد وزير الخارجية أمام الاجتماع الاستثنائي لوزراء خارجية دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، المنعقد في جدة، اليوم (الإثنين)، أهمية اتخاذ الخطوات والتدابير كافة من أجل كسر الحصار وإدخال المساعدات الإغاثية والإنسانية بالتعاون الكامل مع الآليات الدولية، ومطالبة قوة الاحتلال بفتح جميع المعابر والسماح العاجل بدخول ومرور المساعدات دون أي عوائق وبشكل عاجل وكافٍ.
وقال إن هذا الاجتماع الاستثنائي يعبر عن تضامن الدول الأعضاء ودعمهم للأشقاء في فلسطين الذين يتعرضون لأبشع ممارسات الاحتلال والقتل والتجويع والتهجير والإبادة من قبل سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلية وممارساتها التي تشكل أكبر تهديد للأمن والسلم. وأكد الأمير فيصل ضرورة مواجهة هذا التهديد عبر توحيد مواقف الدول الأعضاء للمنظمة، وتطوير آليات التعاون والتنسيق المشترك بين الدول الإسلامية.
ودعا إلى توفير الدعم لوكالة الأونروا ووكالات الأمم المتحدة العاملة في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، وإلى تضافر جهود المجتمع الدولي في دعم الشعب الفلسطيني في بناء قدراته وتمكين مؤسساته الوطنية، عبر مساندة السلطة الفلسطينية والخطوات الإصلاحية التي تقوم بها.
وعبر وزير الخارجية عن إدانة المملكة وشجبها للتصريحات الإسرائيلية حيال ما يسمى «رؤية إسرائيل الكبرى» ورفضها التام للمشاريع الاستيطانية والتوسعية التي تتبناها سلطات الاحتلال، مؤكدة على الحق التاريخي للشعب الفلسطيني بإقامة دولته المستقلة، والسعي لبلورة إجماع دولي عريض لدعم حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني في إقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود عام 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
وأعلن دعم الجهود المصرية والقطرية لتحقيق وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، ودعم سرعة تدفق المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة، لافتاً إلى استمرار جهود اللجنة الوزارية العربية الإسلامية المنبثقة عن القمتين العربية الإسلامية الاستثنائيتين المنعقدتين في الرياض في التواصل مع جميع دول العالم المؤثرة.
وقال الأمير فيصل إن المملكة ترحب بالإجماع الدولي المتزايد على دعم مسار تنفيذ حل الدولتين، خصوصاً في إطار الجهود المبذولة عبر التحالف الدولي لتنفيذ حل الدولتين والمؤتمر الدولي الداعم لإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية برئاسة مشتركة بين السعودية وفرنسا.
وتحدث عن تزايد عدد الدول التي تعترف بفلسطين لتشمل إضافة إلى معظم الدول الآسيوية والأفريقية دولًا في أوروبا وأمريكا وأوقيانوسيا؛ ما يؤكد أن الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية مرفوضة من قبل الغالبية الساحقة في المجتمع الدولي.
ودعا الدول التي ما زالت تتردد في إدانة الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية ووقفها ومساءلة مرتكبيها، أن تتنبه إلى أن حقائق الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وسياسات إسرائيل التوسعية لم تعد تخفى على أحد.
وحذر وزير الخارجية من أن استمرار الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية دون مساءلة أو عقاب يقوض النظام الدولي وقواعد القانون الدولي ويدمر فرص التعاون والشرعية الدولية، ومن شأنه توسيع دائرة الصراع والاضطرابات وتهديد الأمن والسلم ليس فحسب في المنطقة، بل في العالم بأسره.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan called on the international community to intervene swiftly to put an end to the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces, and to firmly reject the announcement by the occupying authority of its intention to impose complete military control over the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the necessity of a decisive response to the plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land.
During the extraordinary meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Jeddah today (Monday), the Foreign Minister stressed the importance of taking all necessary steps and measures to break the siege and allow humanitarian and relief aid to enter in full cooperation with international mechanisms, and to demand that the occupying power open all crossings and urgently allow the entry and passage of aid without any obstacles and in a timely and sufficient manner.
He stated that this extraordinary meeting reflects the solidarity of the member states and their support for their brothers in Palestine, who are subjected to the most heinous practices of occupation, killing, starvation, displacement, and genocide by the Israeli occupying authorities and their practices, which pose the greatest threat to security and peace. Prince Faisal emphasized the need to confront this threat by unifying the positions of the member states of the organization and developing mechanisms for cooperation and joint coordination among Islamic countries.
He called for providing support to UNRWA and the United Nations agencies operating in the occupied Palestinian territories, and for the international community to join efforts in supporting the Palestinian people in building their capacities and empowering their national institutions, through supporting the Palestinian Authority and the reform steps it is undertaking.
The Foreign Minister expressed the Kingdom's condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli statements regarding what is called the "Greater Israel Vision" and its complete rejection of the settlement and expansion projects adopted by the occupying authorities, affirming the historical right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, and striving to shape broad international consensus to support the rights of the Palestinian people in establishing their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He announced support for the Egyptian and Qatari efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, and to expedite the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza, noting the continued efforts of the Arab Islamic ministerial committee emanating from the two extraordinary Arab Islamic summits held in Riyadh to communicate with all influential countries in the world.
Prince Faisal stated that the Kingdom welcomes the increasing international consensus to support the implementation of the two-state solution, especially within the framework of the efforts made through the international coalition to implement the two-state solution and the international conference supporting the establishment of the Palestinian state co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
He spoke about the increasing number of countries recognizing Palestine, which now includes, in addition to most Asian and African countries, countries in Europe, America, and Oceania; this confirms that Israeli violations are rejected by the overwhelming majority in the international community.
He urged countries that are still hesitant to condemn Israeli violations and to stop them and hold their perpetrators accountable to recognize that the realities of the Israeli occupation and Israel's expansionist policies are no longer hidden from anyone.
The Foreign Minister warned that the continuation of Israeli violations without accountability or punishment undermines the international system and the rules of international law and destroys opportunities for cooperation and international legitimacy, and could expand the circle of conflict and unrest, threatening security and peace not only in the region but in the entire world.
