في تأكيد على عرقلة الجهود الرامية لجهود السلام، أعلن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، اليوم (الخميس)، أن حكومته ستواصل السيطرة على غزة حتى لو وافقت حركة حماس على اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في اللحظة الأخيرة.
وقال نتنياهو في مقابلة مع «سكاي نيوز أستراليا»: «العملية العسكرية في القطاع تقترب من نهايتها»، مضيفاً: «الحرب يمكن أن تنتهي اليوم إذا ألقت حركة حماس سلاحها وأطلقت سراح الرهائن المتبقين».
وأشار إلى أن إطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن ونزع سلاح حماس والقضاء على المعقل الأخير لها أمر ضروري لتحقيق السلام الدائم، على حد زعمه، مشدداً بالقول: «هدفنا ليس احتلال غزة، بل إعطاؤها وإسرائيل مستقبلاً مختلفاً، وأعتقد أننا قريبون من تحقيق ذلك».
ولفت إلى أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب يدعم بشكل كامل هدف الاحتلال الإسرائيلي العسكري للسيطرة على مدينة غزة، مضيفاً: «أعتقد أن الرئيس ترمب عبَّر عن ذلك بأفضل صورة، إذ قال إن على حماس أن تختفي من غزة».
وبدأ جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي اليوم إرسال ما سماه «إنذارات أولية» إلى الفرق والمنظمات الطبية والدولية في شمال قطاع غزة، قبيل العملية البرية لفرض السيطرة الكاملة على مدينة غزة.
وقال الجيش إنه في إطار استعداداته لما سماه إجلاء السكان المدنيين من مدينة غزة إلى جنوب القطاع، أبلغ ضباط من إدارة التنسيق والارتباط لغزة، التابعة لوحدة تنسيق أعمال الحكومة في المناطق، مسؤولي الصحة ومنظمات الإغاثة في شمال القطاع بأن عليهم الاستعداد لتحرك السكان نحو جنوب قطاع غزة.
وأضاف أنه أبلغ المنظمات بأنه سيكون هناك إخلاء كامل لمدينة غزة إلى جنوب القطاع، وقال إن هذا يتطلب من الفرق والمنظمات الطبية إعداد خطة لنقل المعدات الطبية من الشمال إلى الجنوب.
In a confirmation of the obstruction of efforts aimed at peace, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Thursday) that his government will continue to control Gaza even if Hamas agrees to a ceasefire agreement at the last moment.
Netanyahu said in an interview with "Sky News Australia": "The military operation in the sector is nearing its end," adding: "The war could end today if Hamas lays down its arms and releases the remaining hostages."
He pointed out that the release of all hostages, the disarmament of Hamas, and the elimination of its last stronghold are essential for achieving lasting peace, as he claimed, emphasizing: "Our goal is not to occupy Gaza, but to give it and Israel a different future, and I believe we are close to achieving that."
He noted that U.S. President Donald Trump fully supports the goal of the Israeli military occupation to control the city of Gaza, adding: "I think President Trump expressed that in the best way, saying that Hamas must disappear from Gaza."
The Israeli occupation army began today to send what it called "preliminary warnings" to medical teams and international organizations in northern Gaza, ahead of the ground operation to impose full control over the city of Gaza.
The army stated that as part of its preparations for what it called the evacuation of civilian residents from the city of Gaza to the south of the sector, officers from the Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza, which is part of the Government Coordination Unit in the territories, informed health officials and relief organizations in the north of the sector that they should prepare for the movement of residents towards southern Gaza.
It added that it informed the organizations that there would be a complete evacuation of the city of Gaza to the south of the sector, and said that this requires medical teams and organizations to prepare a plan for transferring medical equipment from the north to the south.
