أكد الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي اليوم (الخميس)، أنه لا توجد أي مؤشرات من موسكو على استعدادها لإنهاء الحرب وإجراء محادثات جوهرية، مشدداً على أن بلاده لن تعترف قانونياً بـ«احتلال» أراضيها.
وأوضح في مؤتمر صحفي بكييف، أن أوكرانيا وأوروبا تريدان رؤية رد فعل قوي من الولايات المتحدة، إذا ما لم يكن الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين جاهزاً لعقد اجتماع ثنائي، مبيناً أن أن بلاده تريد التوصل إلى تفاهم بشأن الضمانات الأمنية خلال 7 إلى 10 أيام.
ولفت إلى أن موسكو لا تظهر أي مؤشرات على نيتها عقد الاجتماع الثنائي، أو استعدادها لإنهاء الحرب، مؤكداً أنه من غير الواضح بعد ما التنازلات المتعلقة بالأراضي التي قد تكون موسكو مستعدة لتقديمها.
وأشار إلى أن اختيار العاصمة المجرية بودابست كمكان محتمل لمحادثات السلام مع روسيا، يمثل في الوقت الحالي، تحدياً.
وقال زيلينسكي إن الصين لن تشارك في الضمانات الأمنية، لأنها لم تساعد أوكرانيا بعد الغزو الروسي، مبيناً أن المقترح الأوكراني لاتفاق إنتاج الطائرات المسيّرة مع الولايات المتحدة يشمل إنتاجاً بقيمة 50 مليار دولار على مدى خمس سنوات.
وتوقع الرئيس الأوكراني إنتاج 10 ملايين طائرة مسيّرة سنوياً كجزء من الاتفاق، مؤكداً أن صاروخ «فلامينجو»، هو أكثر صاروخ أوكراني نجاحاً.
وتوقع زيلينسكي بدء الإنتاج الواسع للطائرات المسيرة في أوائل العام القادم.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد ألمح أكثر من مرة إلى أن أوكرانيا ستضطر إلى تبادل الأراضي مع روسيا، وهو ما ترفضه أوكرانيا حتى الآن.
ودخلت الحرب الروسية الأوكرانية، عامه الرابع على الرغم من أن الرئيس الأمريكي وعد بإنهاء الصراع خلال 24 ساعة من عودته إلى البيت الأبيض.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed today (Thursday) that there are no signs from Moscow indicating its readiness to end the war and engage in substantive talks, emphasizing that his country will not legally recognize the "occupation" of its territories.
He explained in a press conference in Kyiv that Ukraine and Europe want to see a strong response from the United States if Russian President Vladimir Putin is not ready for a bilateral meeting, noting that his country wants to reach an understanding regarding security guarantees within 7 to 10 days.
Zelensky pointed out that Moscow is not showing any signs of its intention to hold the bilateral meeting or its readiness to end the war, stressing that it is still unclear what territorial concessions Moscow might be willing to offer.
He mentioned that choosing the Hungarian capital Budapest as a potential venue for peace talks with Russia currently poses a challenge.
Zelensky stated that China will not participate in the security guarantees, as it has not helped Ukraine following the Russian invasion, indicating that the Ukrainian proposal for a drone production agreement with the United States includes production worth $50 billion over five years.
The Ukrainian president anticipated the production of 10 million drones annually as part of the agreement, confirming that the "Flamingo" missile is the most successful Ukrainian missile.
Zelensky expected large-scale drone production to begin in early next year.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump hinted multiple times that Ukraine would have to exchange territory with Russia, which Ukraine has so far rejected.
