قُبيل لقاء الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب المقرر غداً (الإثنين) في واشنطن، أعلن قادة «تحالف الراغبين» بشأن أوكرانيا اليوم (الأحد)، أن التحالف سيؤدي دوراً في الضمانات الأمنية المقدمة لكييف من خلال قوة متعددة الجنسيات، ضمن الجهود الرامية إلى إنهاء الحرب والتوصل إلى سلام دائم.
وقال «تحالف الراغبين» في بيان اليوم: القادة أكدوا دعمهم المستمر لأوكرانيا، مشيدين برغبة الرئيس فولوديمير زيلينسكي في تحقيق سلام عادل ودائم.
وأكد القادة الأوروبيون في التحالف، استعداد التحالف لنشر قوة طمأنة فور وقف القتال للمساعدة على تأمين المجال الجوي الأوكراني وحدودها البحرية، وبحسب البيان فإن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون ورئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر ترأسا اجتماع «تحالف الراغبين» الافتراضي، وسيتوجهان غداً إلى واشنطن للقاء ترمب بمشاركة زيلينسكي.
وأشار البيان إلى أن رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية أورسولا فون دير لاين ستتوجه أيضاً إلى واشنطن، ومعها رئيس فنلندا ألكسندر ستوب ورئيسة وزراء إيطاليا جورجا ميلوني.
واستضاف المستشار الألماني فريدريش ميرتس وماكرون وستارمر اجتماعاً لحلفاء كييف، اليوم، لدعم موقف زيلينسكي، آملين على وجه الخصوص في الحصول على ضمانات أمنية قوية لأوكرانيا تشمل دوراً أمريكياً.
ونقلت شبكة «سي إن إن» الأمريكية عن متحدث باسم المفوضية الأوروبية، قوله: القادة الأوروبيون ركّزوا على الضمانات الأمنية لأوكرانيا، إلى جانب مسائل حاسمة أخرى خلال مناقشاتهم.
وكان ماكرون قد قال إن الهدف من المحادثات المقررة غداً في واشنطن بين ترمب وزيلينسكي هو إظهار جبهة موحدة بين أوكرانيا وحلفائها الأوروبيين، مشدداً بالقول: «إذا أظهرنا ضعفاً اليوم أمام روسيا، فإننا نمهد الطريق لصراعات في المستقبل».

The "Alliance of the Willing" stated in a statement today: the leaders reaffirmed their ongoing support for Ukraine, praising President Volodymyr Zelensky's desire to achieve a just and lasting peace.
The European leaders in the alliance confirmed the alliance's readiness to deploy a reassurance force as soon as fighting stops to help secure Ukrainian airspace and its maritime borders. According to the statement, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer chaired a virtual meeting of the "Alliance of the Willing" and will head to Washington tomorrow to meet with Trump alongside Zelensky.
The statement noted that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will also head to Washington, along with Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Macron, and Starmer hosted a meeting for Kyiv's allies today to support Zelensky's position, particularly hoping to secure strong security guarantees for Ukraine that include a U.S. role.
U.S. network "CNN" reported a spokesperson for the European Commission saying: European leaders focused on security guarantees for Ukraine, along with other critical issues during their discussions.
Macron had stated that the goal of the scheduled talks tomorrow in Washington between Trump and Zelensky is to show a united front between Ukraine and its European allies, emphasizing: "If we show weakness today in front of Russia, we are paving the way for conflicts in the future."
