من جهة أخرى، رحَّب رئيس الوزراء الكندي مارك كارني اليوم بما وصفه بـ«انفتاح» الولايات المتحدة على تقديم ضمانات أمنية لكييف بموجب اتفاق سلام لإنهاء الحرب الروسية على أوكرانيا، مؤكداً في بيان أن الضمانات الأمنية القوية والموثوقة ضرورية لأي سلام عادل ودائم.
وقال كارني: «قيادة الرئيس ترمب والولايات المتحدة تتيحان الفرصة لإنهاء الحرب الروسية غير الشرعية في أوكرانيا».

On the other hand, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney welcomed today what he described as the "openness" of the United States to provide security guarantees to Kyiv under a peace agreement to end the Russian war on Ukraine, affirming in a statement that strong and reliable security guarantees are essential for any fair and lasting peace.
Carney said: "The leadership of President Trump and the United States provides the opportunity to end the illegal Russian war in Ukraine."
