أعلنت وزارة الصحة السورية اليوم (الخميس) مقتل 4 أشخاص وإصابة 5 آخرين كحصيلة أولية في الانفجار الذي وقع بمستودع أسلحة في الأطراف الغربية لمدينة إدلب.
وذكر تلفزيون سورية أن انفجارات متتالية شهدها أحد المواقع يرجح أنها ناتجة عن انفجار الذخائر، فيما قالت وزارة الدفاع المدني السوري أن فرقها توجّهت إلى الموقع.
وتداول ناشطون أنباءً عن وجود عالقين تحت أنقاض المبنى المدمّر إثر الانفجار، مستعرضين صوراً ومقاطع تظهر آثار الانفجار وما خلفه من دخان كثيف في سماء الموقع.
وكان سبعة أشخاص وأصيب أكثر من 100 آخرين في يوليو الماضي، إثر انفجار مستودع ذخائر قرب مدينة معرة مصرين بريف إدلب.
وأعلنت مديرية صحة إدلب، أن تجمعات المخيمات السكنية المحيطة القريبة تأثّرت بالانفجار، ما أدى إلى وقوع عدد كبير من الإصابات، والتي توزّعت على عدة مراكز صحية في المنطقة.
وفتحت وزارة الداخلية السورية حينها، تحقيقاً عاجل بملابسات التفجير.
The Syrian Ministry of Health announced today (Thursday) that 4 people were killed and 5 others were injured as an initial toll from the explosion that occurred in an arms depot on the western outskirts of Idlib city.
Syrian television reported that consecutive explosions were heard at one of the sites, likely resulting from munitions detonating, while the Syrian Civil Defense Ministry stated that its teams headed to the location.
Activists circulated news about the presence of people trapped under the rubble of the destroyed building following the explosion, showcasing photos and videos that display the aftermath of the explosion and the thick smoke lingering in the sky above the site.
In July, seven people were killed and more than 100 others were injured due to an explosion at a munitions depot near the city of Maaret Misrin in the Idlib countryside.
The Idlib Health Directorate announced that the residential camp gatherings nearby were affected by the explosion, leading to a large number of injuries, which were distributed across several health centers in the area.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior opened an urgent investigation into the circumstances of the explosion at that time.
