قُتل أربعة صحفيين، بينهم اثنان من قناة الجزيرة (أنس الشريف ومحمد قريقع)، جراء قصف إسرائيلي استهدف خيمة مخصصة للإعلاميين أمام مستشفى الشفاء في مدينة غزة، في هجوم وصفته مؤسسات حقوقية بأنه جريمة ضد حرية الصحافة. وأفادت مصادر محلية بأن الغارة أسفرت أيضاً عن إصابة عدد من الصحفيين، بعضهم في حالة حرجة، بينهم مصورون ميدانيون.
الجيش الإسرائيلي أقر في بيان باستهداف الصحفي أنس الشريف، موجّهاً له اتهامات بأنه يدير خلية تابعة لـ«حماس»، في خطوة أثارت جدلاً واسعاً بشأن استهداف الإعلاميين في مناطق النزاع.
يأتي الهجوم في وقت تتصاعد التحذيرات الدولية من مخاطر العمل الصحفي في غزة، حيث قُتل العشرات من الصحفيين منذ اندلاع الحرب، وسط دعوات متجددة لتحقيقات دولية ومحاسبة المسؤولين عن هذه الانتهاكات.
Four journalists were killed, including two from Al Jazeera (Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Qareqea), due to an Israeli airstrike that targeted a tent designated for journalists in front of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, in an attack described by human rights organizations as a crime against press freedom. Local sources reported that the strike also resulted in injuries to several journalists, some of whom are in critical condition, including field photographers.
The Israeli army acknowledged in a statement that it targeted journalist Anas Al-Sharif, accusing him of operating a cell affiliated with "Hamas," a move that sparked widespread controversy regarding the targeting of journalists in conflict areas.
The attack comes at a time when international warnings about the dangers of journalistic work in Gaza are escalating, as dozens of journalists have been killed since the outbreak of the war, amid renewed calls for international investigations and accountability for those responsible for these violations.
