شدد مسؤول في وزارة الخارجية السورية على أن دمشق لن تقبل بتكرار تجارب «حزب الله» اللبناني وما شابهه على الأراضي السورية. وأكد المصدر أن الحكومة ترحب باللامركزية الإدارية إلا أنها ترفض رفضاً قاطعاً أي لامركزية سياسية.
فيما كشف مدير إدارة الشؤون الأمريكية في الخارجية السورية قتيبة إدلبي في تصريحات تليفزيونية، اليوم (الأحد)، أن مؤتمر الحسكة، الذي عُقد الجمعة بمدينة الحسكة السورية الخاضعة لسيطرة قوات سورية الديمقراطية (قسد)، تخللته محاولة للاستقواء بأطراف خارجية. ولفت إلى أن تصريحات شيخ عقل الدروز حكمت الهجري، ومسؤولي «قسد» كشفت ذلك. وأضاف أن «قسد» تمنح الهجري وغيره منصة رغم أنهما لا يمثلان المكونات التي يتحدثان عنها.
وكان مؤتمر «وحدة الموقف لمكونات شمال وشرق سورية» أثار سجالات وتوترات بين «قسد» ودمشق. وأعلن مصدر حكومي سوري مساء السبت عدم مشاركة الحكومة في المفاوضات المرتقبة في باريس خلال شهر أغسطس الجاري.
فيما أوضح مصدر فرنسي وآخر عسكري من «قسد» أن قوات سورية الديمقراطية لم تتلقّ بعد أي إخطار رسمي بانسحاب الحكومة من المفاوضات معها.
وشارك نحو 400 شخص بينهم سياسيون وقادة عشائر ورجال دين كالشيخ محمد مرشد الخزنوي والزعيم الروحي لطائفة الموحّدين الدروز الشيخ حكمت الهجري ورئيس «المجلس الإسلامي العلوي الأعلى» غزال غزال في مؤتمر الحسكة.
من جهة أخرى ، أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الأردنية، اليوم الأحد، أن المملكة ستستضيف، الثلاثاء، اجتماعاً مشتركاً لبحث الأوضاع في سورية. وقالت في بيان: «تستضيف المملكة الأردنية، بعد غدٍ الثلاثاء، اجتماعا أردنياً-سورياً-أمريكياً مشتركاً، لبحث الأوضاع في سورية وسبل دعم عملية إعادة بناء سورية على الأسس التي تضمن أمنها واستقرارها وسيادتها، وتلبي طموحات شعبها الشقيق وتحفظ حقوق كل السوريين». ولفتت إلى أن الاجتماع سيحضره وزير الخارجية والمغتربين السوري أسعد الشيباني، وسفير الولايات المتحدة لدى الجمهورية التركية والمبعوث الأمريكي الخاص لسورية توم براك، ومُمثّلون عن المؤسسات المعنية في الدول الثلاث. وأضافت أن الاجتماع يأتي استكمالاً للمباحثات التي كانت استضافتها عمّان بتاريخ 19 يوليو 2025 لبحث تثبيت وقف إطلاق النار في محافظة السويداء في جنوب سورية وحل الأزمة هناك.
A Syrian Foreign Ministry official emphasized that Damascus will not accept the repetition of experiences similar to those of the Lebanese "Hezbollah" on Syrian territory. The source confirmed that the government welcomes administrative decentralization but firmly rejects any political decentralization.
Meanwhile, the Director of American Affairs at the Syrian Foreign Ministry, Quteiba Idlibi, revealed in televised statements today (Sunday) that the Al-Hasakah conference, held on Friday in the city of Al-Hasakah, which is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), included an attempt to seek support from external parties. He pointed out that the statements made by Druze Sheikh Hikmat al-Hajri and SDF officials revealed this. He added that the SDF provides a platform for al-Hajri and others even though they do not represent the components they speak about.
The "Unity of Position for the Components of Northern and Eastern Syria" conference sparked debates and tensions between the SDF and Damascus. A Syrian government source announced on Saturday evening that the government will not participate in the anticipated negotiations in Paris during the current month of August.
Meanwhile, a French source and another military source from the SDF clarified that the Syrian Democratic Forces have not yet received any official notification regarding the government's withdrawal from negotiations with them.
About 400 people participated in the Al-Hasakah conference, including politicians, tribal leaders, and religious figures such as Sheikh Muhammad Murshid al-Khaznawi, the spiritual leader of the Druze community Sheikh Hikmat al-Hajri, and the head of the "Supreme Alawite Islamic Council" Ghazal Ghazal.
On another note, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry announced today (Sunday) that the Kingdom will host a joint meeting on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Syria. It stated in a statement: "The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will host, the day after tomorrow, a Jordanian-Syrian-American joint meeting to discuss the situation in Syria and ways to support the process of rebuilding Syria on the foundations that ensure its security, stability, and sovereignty, meet the aspirations of its brotherly people, and preserve the rights of all Syrians." It noted that the meeting will be attended by Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad al-Shibani, the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, and the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria Tom Brack, along with representatives from the relevant institutions in the three countries. It added that the meeting comes as a continuation of the discussions hosted by Amman on July 19, 2025, to discuss solidifying the ceasefire in the Sweida Governorate in southern Syria and resolving the crisis there.
