وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية البريطانية: إن رئيس الوزراء كير ستارمر تحدث إلى الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي قبل هذا الاجتماع الأمني، مبيناً أن ستارمر مع زيلينسكي مقترحات ترمب لإنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا قبل القمة المرتقبة بين الرئيسين الأمريكي والروسي في 15 أغسطس بألاسكا.
