أعلن رئيس الوزراء اللبناني نواف سلام، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، تكليف مجلس الوزراء الجيش بوضع خطة تطبيقية لحصر السلاح قبل نهاية العام، وعرضها على المجلس قبل نهاية الشهر الجاري.
وأعلن سلام أن مجلس الوزراء قرر استكمال النقاش في الورقة الأمريكية، مؤكداً في الوقت نفسه على حق لبنان في الدفاع عن نفسه في حال وقوع أي اعتداء.
من جهته، أعلن وزير الإعلام اللبناني بول مرقص انسحاب وزيرين يمثلان «حزب الله» و«حركة أمل» من الجلسة، مشيراً إلى عدم موافقتهما على قرار مجلس الوزراء بشأن حصر السلاح.
وقال مرقص خلال مؤتمر صحافي: «الوزيران تمارا الزين وركان ناصر الدين انسحبا من الجلسة لعدم موافقتهما على قرار مجلس الوزراء»، مبيناً أن مجلس الوزراء وضع مهلة حتى آخر العام لتوحيد السلاح بيد الدولة اللبنانية.
وأشار الوزير إلى أن «مجلس الوزراء سيعقد جلسة لاستكمال بحث ما بدأناه اليوم، في حين لم نقر بعد الورقة». يأتي ذلك وسط رفض كبير من حزب الله لمناقشة نزع سلاحه، معتبراً أنه استراتيجية أمن وطني.
وتساءل أمين عام «حزب الله» أمين قاسم في خطاب تلفزيوني عن خارطة الطريق لبناء لبنان وتثبيت الاستقرار فيه؟، مضيفاً: «نحن نعتبر أنه لا بد من 3 قواعد أساسية لبناء لبنان: الأولى هي المشاركة والتعاون، الثانية وضع الأولويات التي تؤسس للواقع اللبناني ولا نتلهى بالطلبات الخارجية، والثالثة عدم الخضوع للوصاية».
واتهم قاسم إسرائيل بالانقلاب على الاتفاق وعدم الالتزام به، مهدداً بقصف الأراضي المحتلة إذا شنت إسرائيل هجوماً على لبنان.
يذكر أن إسرائيل تواصل هجماتها اليومية على لبنان وتقصف المسلحين التابعين لـ«حزب الله» بشكل مستمر.
The Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, announced today (Tuesday) the assignment of the Cabinet to the army to develop an implementation plan for weapon control before the end of the year, and to present it to the council before the end of this month.
Salam stated that the Cabinet decided to continue the discussion on the American paper, while also affirming Lebanon's right to defend itself in the event of any aggression.
For his part, Lebanese Information Minister Paul Marquess announced the withdrawal of two ministers representing "Hezbollah" and "Amal Movement" from the session, indicating their disagreement with the Cabinet's decision regarding weapon control.
Marquess said during a press conference: "The two ministers, Tamara Al-Zain and Rakan Nasser Al-Din, withdrew from the session due to their disagreement with the Cabinet's decision," explaining that the Cabinet set a deadline until the end of the year to unify weapons under the Lebanese state.
The minister pointed out that "the Cabinet will hold a session to continue discussing what we started today, while we have not yet approved the paper." This comes amid significant rejection from Hezbollah to discuss disarming, considering it a national security strategy.
Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Amin Qassem, questioned in a televised speech about the roadmap for building Lebanon and establishing stability within it, adding: "We believe that there must be three fundamental principles for building Lebanon: the first is participation and cooperation, the second is setting priorities that establish the Lebanese reality without being distracted by external demands, and the third is not to submit to guardianship."
Qassem accused Israel of overturning the agreement and failing to adhere to it, threatening to bomb the occupied territories if Israel launched an attack on Lebanon.
It is worth noting that Israel continues its daily attacks on Lebanon and continuously bombs militants affiliated with "Hezbollah."
