أصدرت محكمة مولدوفية حكماً بالسجن 7 سنوات على زعيمة إقليم غاغاوزيا الموالية للكرملين يفجينيا جوتول، بتهمة توجيه أموال روسية لتمويل حزب سياسي.
جاء الحكم وسط اتهامات بتدفق أموال غير معلنة خلال 2019 - 2022 لدعم حزب «شور» الموالي لموسكو، الذي أسسه رجل الأعمال المنفي إيلان شور، والذي تم حظره فيما بعد.
واتهمت النيابة العامة «جوتول»، التي تنتقد الحكومة المولدوفية المؤيدة لأوروبا وتزور موسكو بشكل دوري، بتوجيه أموال روسية بشكل منهجي لتمويل حزب «شور».
وطالبت النيابة بالسجن 9 سنوات، لكن المحكمة خفضت الحكم إلى 7 سنوات، مع إمكانية الاستئناف.
وتخضع «جوتول» لعقوبات الاتحاد الأوروبي والولايات المتحدة بسبب الاشتباه في دورها بزعزعة استقرار مولدوفا.
من جانبه، أدان الكرملين الحكم ووصفه بأنه ذو دوافع سياسية، متهماً الحكومة المولدوفية بانتهاك الديمقراطية.
وتجمع أكثر من 100 شخص أمام المحكمة في العاصمة كيشيناو لدعم «جوتول» زعيمة إقليم غاغاوزيا ذي الأغلبية التركية والبالغ تعداد سكانه 140,000 نسمة، مطالبين بإطلاق سراحها وهتفوا ضد الحكم.

Gotul is subject to EU and US sanctions due to her suspected role in destabilizing Moldova.
For its part, the Kremlin condemned the ruling, describing it as politically motivated, accusing the Moldovan government of violating democracy.
More than 100 people gathered outside the court in the capital Chisinau to support Gotul, the leader of the Turkish-majority Gagauzia region with a population of 140,000, demanding her release and chanting against the ruling.
