ألقت السلطات الماليزية القبض على الطالب المصري مروان محمد مجدي عثمان، بتهمة التحريض وخرق القوانين المحلية، بعد مشاركته في مظاهرة غير مرخصة أمام السفارة المصرية في ماليزيا.
وأفادت مصادر أمنية ماليزية أن عثمان (28 عاماً)، شارك في احتجاج نظمه عدد من الطلاب المصريين للتنديد بالسياسات المصرية، وخرجت المظاهرة عن الأطر القانونية المسموح بها في ماليزيا، ما دفع الشرطة إلى التدخل واعتقاله بتهم تتعلق بـ«التحريض وتعريض الأمن العام للخطر».
وتأتي الواقعة وسط تقارير تشير إلى أن القاهرة تستعد لاستقبال عثمان، الذي يقال إنه ناشط مرتبط بجماعة الإخوان المسلمين، المصنفة منظمة إرهابية في مصر منذ 2013، في حين لم تصدر السلطات المصرية أو الماليزية تأكيداً رسمياً لهذه الأنباء، لكن مصادر دبلوماسية أشارت إلى أن ترحيل عثمان قد يكون وشيكاً بموجب قوانين الهجرة الماليزية، التي تتيح طرد الأجانب الذين يُعتبرون تهديداً للأمن القومي.
ووفقاً لتقارير إعلامية ومصادر حقوقية، شارك مروان محمد مجدي عثمان، وهو طالب مصري يدرس في ماليزيا، في مظاهرة أمام السفارة المصرية في كوالالمبور للتعبير عن معارضته لسياسات الحكومة المصرية، التي تزعم غلق مصر معبر رفح ومنعها دخول المساعدات إلى قطاع غزة، وهو ما تنفيه الدولة المصرية بشدة.
وتُعد ماليزيا وجهة دراسية شائعة للطلاب المصريين، وتستضيف الجامعات الماليزية، مثل الجامعة الإسلامية الدولية، آلاف الطلاب من الشرق الأوسط، ومع ذلك، تفرض السلطات الماليزية قيوداً صارمة على المظاهرات، إذ يتطلب تنظيم أي مظاهرة الحصول على تصريح مسبق بموجب قانون التجمعات السلمية لعام 2012.
وتُصنف جماعة الإخوان المسلمين في مصر منظمة إرهابية منذ ديسمبر 2013، بعد عزل الرئيس المصري السابق محمد مرسي، المنتمي للجماعة، إثر احتجاجات شعبية واسعة، وتُتهم الجماعة بالضلوع في أعمال عنف وإرهاب.
The Malaysian authorities arrested the Egyptian student Marwan Mohamed Magdy Othman on charges of incitement and violating local laws after he participated in an unauthorized demonstration in front of the Egyptian embassy in Malaysia.

While neither the Egyptian nor the Malaysian authorities have issued an official confirmation of this news, diplomatic sources indicated that Othman's deportation could be imminent under Malaysian immigration laws, which allow for the expulsion of foreigners deemed a threat to national security.
According to media reports and human rights sources, Marwan Mohamed Magdy Othman, an Egyptian student studying in Malaysia, participated in a demonstration in front of the Egyptian embassy in Kuala Lumpur to express his opposition to the policies of the Egyptian government, which claims to have closed the Rafah crossing and prevented aid from entering the Gaza Strip, a claim that the Egyptian state strongly denies.
Malaysia is a popular study destination for Egyptian students, hosting thousands of students from the Middle East at Malaysian universities, such as the International Islamic University. However, Malaysian authorities impose strict restrictions on demonstrations, requiring prior permission to organize any protest under the Peaceful Assembly Act of 2012.
The Muslim Brotherhood has been classified as a terrorist organization in Egypt since December 2013, following the ousting of former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, a member of the group, after widespread popular protests. The group is accused of involvement in acts of violence and terrorism.
