أعلن مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة (OCHA) اليوم (الجمعة) 1 أغسطس 2025 مقتل ما لا يقل عن 1373 فلسطينيا أثناء محاولتهم الحصول على مساعدات إنسانية في قطاع غزة منذ 27 مايو.
وأشار البيان، الذي استند إلى تقارير مكتب مفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان، إلى أن معظم الضحايا سقطوا بنيران القوات الإسرائيلية أثناء انتظارهم للمساعدات، في ظل أزمة إنسانية متفاقمة تهدد حياة ملايين الفلسطينيين.
ووفقاً لبيان مكتب الأمم المتحدة، قُتل 859 فلسطينياً في محيط مواقع مؤسسة غزة الإنسانية، التي تدعمها الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل، بينما لقي 514 آخرون حتفهم على طول مسارات قوافل الغذاء، في والوقت ذاته أفادت وزارة الصحة في غزة بأن 91 شخصاً قتلوا وأصيب أكثر من 666 آخرين خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية، في ما يُعرف بـ«شهداء المساعدات».
ووفقاً لوزارة الصحة في قطاع غزة، بلغ إجمالي عدد الجرحى الذين وصلوا إلى المستشفيات جراء هذه الحوادث أكثر من 8818 مصاباً منذ أواخر مايو، ما يكشف حجم المأساة التي يعيشها سكان القطاع أثناء محاولتهم تأمين لقمة العيش.
وأدان مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية استمرار الهجمات على المدنيين أثناء محاولتهم الوصول إلى المساعدات الغذائية، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الحوادث تُفاقم خطر المجاعة في غزة، موضحاً أن القيود الصارمة التي تفرضها السلطات الإسرائيلية على دخول المساعدات، إلى جانب عدم السماح للأمم المتحدة بنشر مراقبين في معبر كرم أبو سالم، تعيق الرؤية الواضحة لتدفق المساعدات وتزيد من تعقيد توزيعها داخل القطاع.
ودعا وكيل الأمين العام للشؤون الإنسانية منسق الإغاثة في حالات الطوارئ توم فليتشر إلى اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة لحماية المدنيين، قائلا: «نحن نُمنع عمدا من إنقاذ الأرواح في غزة، ونتيجة لذلك يموت المدنيون»، مؤكدا أن «الادعاءات بأن هناك ما يكفي من الطعام لإطعام جميع الفلسطينيين في غزة بعيدة كل البعد عن الواقع على الأرض».
وتشهد غزة أزمة إنسانية غير مسبوقة منذ تصاعد الأعمال العدائية في أكتوبر 2023، حيث أدت القيود المفروضة على دخول المساعدات إلى نقص حاد في الغذاء والدواء والوقود. ووفقاً لتقارير الأمم المتحدة فإن 71% من أراضي القطاع أصبحت ضمن مناطق عسكرية إسرائيلية أو خاضعة لأوامر الإخلاء منذ 18 مارس 2025، ما أدى إلى نزوح أكثر من 680 ألف شخص، كما أن أكثر من 55 ألف امرأة حامل تواجهن مخاطر صحية متزايدة، بما في ذلك الإجهاض وسوء التغذية للمواليد.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OCHA) announced today (Friday) August 1, 2025, that at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while trying to obtain humanitarian assistance in the Gaza Strip since May 27.
The statement, which was based on reports from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, indicated that most of the victims were shot by Israeli forces while waiting for aid, amid a worsening humanitarian crisis that threatens the lives of millions of Palestinians.
According to the United Nations Office's statement, 859 Palestinians were killed in the vicinity of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites, which are supported by the United States and Israel, while 514 others lost their lives along food convoy routes. At the same time, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that 91 people were killed and more than 666 others were injured in the past 24 hours, in what is known as the "Martyrs of Aid."
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the total number of injured individuals who have arrived at hospitals due to these incidents has exceeded 8,818 since late May, revealing the extent of the tragedy faced by the residents of the strip as they attempt to secure their livelihoods.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs condemned the ongoing attacks on civilians while they attempt to access food aid, noting that these incidents exacerbate the risk of famine in Gaza. It explained that the strict restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities on the entry of aid, along with the refusal to allow the United Nations to deploy monitors at the Kerem Shalom crossing, hinder a clear view of the flow of aid and complicate its distribution within the strip.
UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher called for urgent action to protect civilians, stating: "We are deliberately prevented from saving lives in Gaza, and as a result, civilians are dying," emphasizing that "the claims that there is enough food to feed all Palestinians in Gaza are far from the reality on the ground."
Gaza is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis since the escalation of hostilities in October 2023, as restrictions on the entry of aid have led to severe shortages of food, medicine, and fuel. According to United Nations reports, 71% of the territory has become part of Israeli military areas or subject to evacuation orders since March 18, 2025, resulting in the displacement of more than 680,000 people. Additionally, more than 55,000 pregnant women are facing increasing health risks, including miscarriage and malnutrition for newborns.
