أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن ترحيب المملكة العربية السعودية بإعلان حكومة جمهورية البرتغال عن بدئها بالإجراءات التي تمهد لاعترافها بالدولة الفلسطينية في شهر سبتمبر المقبل.
وأكدت المملكة أن هذه الخطوة الإيجابية تدعم مسار تنفيذ حل الدولتين وتحقيق السلام، مجددةً دعوتها لجميع الشركاء حول العالم باتخاذ خطوات مماثلة حيال الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية للوصول إلى السلام العادل والشامل.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's welcome to the announcement by the Government of the Portuguese Republic regarding its initiation of procedures that pave the way for its recognition of the State of Palestine next September.
The Kingdom affirmed that this positive step supports the implementation of the two-state solution and the achievement of peace, reiterating its call to all partners around the world to take similar steps towards recognizing the State of Palestine in order to reach just and comprehensive peace.
