أعلنت شركة «ناتس» البريطانية لخدمات مراقبة الحركة الجوية اليوم (الأربعاء) عن عطل فني في رحلات المطارات الرئيسية في لندن وأماكن أخرى بالبلاد، مشيرة إلى أنه تم حل المشكلة.
وأفادت الشركة في منشور على «إكس»: مهندسونا قاموا الآن باستعادة النظام الذي تأثر بعد ظهر اليوم، ونحن في طور استئناف العمليات العادية في منطقة لندن.
وذكر مطار هيثرو أنه تم إيقاف جميع الرحلات المغادرة مؤقتاً، فيما قال مطار جاتويك إن المشكلة أثرت على جميع الرحلات المغادرة في جميع أنحاء بريطانيا.
وكتب المطار في بيان على «إكس»: أنه لا توجد حالياً أي رحلات مغادرة من مطار لندن جاتويك بينما يتم حل المشكلة.
وأكد مطار «لندن سيتي» على منصة «إكس» أن الرحلات الجوية تأثرت بالمشكلة ذاتها، فيما قال مطار إدنبرة إن الرحلات المغادرة معلقة حالياً في انتظار المزيد من المعلومات من شركة ناتس.
يذكر أن مطار «ستانستد» في لندن قد تعرض في مايو الماضي لمشكلات تقنية أدت لتكدس مئات الركاب في طوابير طويلة خارج مبنى المطار وداخله وتسبب في تأخير الرحلات الجوية، وأعلن المطار حينها إن المشكلات الفنية التي أثرت على عمليات تسجيل الوصول والأمتعة والأمن وجدت طريقها إلى الحل لاحقاً لكن استمر تأخر الرحلات الجوية عن جدولها الزمني.
ودائماً ما تتعرض المطارات البريطانية إلى اعطال فنية تسبب في تأخير الرحلات.
The British company "NATS" for air traffic control services announced today (Wednesday) a technical failure affecting flights at major airports in London and other parts of the country, noting that the issue has been resolved.
The company stated in a post on "X": Our engineers have now restored the system that was affected this afternoon, and we are in the process of resuming normal operations in the London area.
Heathrow Airport mentioned that all departing flights were temporarily halted, while Gatwick Airport stated that the issue affected all departing flights across the UK.
The airport wrote in a statement on "X": There are currently no departing flights from London Gatwick Airport while the issue is being resolved.
London City Airport confirmed on the "X" platform that flights were affected by the same problem, while Edinburgh Airport stated that departing flights are currently suspended pending further information from NATS.
It is worth noting that Stansted Airport in London experienced technical issues last May that led to hundreds of passengers being stuck in long queues outside and inside the airport, causing flight delays. The airport then announced that the technical problems affecting check-in, baggage, and security operations were eventually resolved, but delays in flight schedules continued.
British airports are always prone to technical failures that cause flight delays.
