أعلن وزير الخارجية الكويتي عبدالله اليحيا، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، رفض بلاده كافة السياسات التي تؤخر جهود حل الدولتين، مؤكداً الاعتراف الكامل بدولة فلسطين.
وقال اليحيا في كلمته خلال مؤتمر حل الدولتين لتسوية القضية الفلسطينية في الأمم المتحدة، برئاسة السعودية وفرنسا: «نؤكد الاعتراف الكامل بدولة فلسطين، ونرحب بالخطوات الدولية بهذا الشأن»، مطالباً بالوقف الفوري والشامل للعدوان الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة، وكافة الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، ووقف استهداف المدنيين والبنية التحتية.
وشدد اليحيا على ضرورة فتح جميع المعابر بشكل دائم وغير مشروط بما يضمن تدفق المساعدات، ورفض كافة أشكال التهجير القسري.
من جهته، قال وزير الخارجية البرتغالي باولو رانجيل إن الحرب الإسرائيلية على غزة يجب أن تنتهي، مشدداً على ضرورة الكف عن بناء المستوطنات في الضفة الغربية. وأضاف خلال مؤتمر حل الدولتين: الأزمة الإنسانية والتجويع ودوامة العنف يجب أن تنتهي.
بدوره، قال وزير العلاقات الدولية في جنوب أفريقيا رونالد لامولا إن سياسات إسرائيل تقوّض جهود حل الدولتين، داعياً جميع الدول للاعتراف سريعاً بدولة فلسطين.
وانطلقت، مساء اليوم (الثلاثاء)، فعاليات اليوم الثاني والأخير من أعمال المؤتمر الدولي بشأن التسوية السلمية لقضية فلسطين وتنفيذ حل الدولتين، برئاسة مشتركة بين السعودية وفرنسا، بعد أن شهد اليوم الأول زخماً واسعاً وتوافقاً على تسوية عادلة لقضية فلسطين وإدانة تجويع غزة.
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya announced today (Tuesday) the rejection of his country's policies that delay efforts to resolve the two-state solution, affirming full recognition of the State of Palestine.
Al-Yahya stated in his speech during the Two-State Solution Conference for the resolution of the Palestinian issue at the United Nations, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France: "We affirm full recognition of the State of Palestine, and we welcome international steps in this regard," calling for an immediate and comprehensive halt to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and all occupied Palestinian territories, and for an end to the targeting of civilians and infrastructure.
Al-Yahya emphasized the necessity of opening all crossings permanently and unconditionally to ensure the flow of aid, and rejected all forms of forced displacement.
For his part, Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel stated that the Israeli war on Gaza must end, stressing the need to stop the construction of settlements in the West Bank. He added during the Two-State Solution Conference: "The humanitarian crisis, starvation, and cycle of violence must come to an end."
In turn, South African Minister of International Relations Ronald Lamola said that Israel's policies undermine efforts for a two-state solution, calling on all countries to quickly recognize the State of Palestine.
The second and final day of the international conference on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution began this evening (Tuesday), co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, after the first day witnessed broad momentum and consensus on a just resolution to the Palestinian issue and condemnation of the starvation of Gaza.
