كشفت وكالة الاستخبارات الخارجية الروسية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، مناقشة ممثلين عن الولايات المتحدة والمملكة المتحدة ومسؤولين أوكرانيين كبار، آفاق استبدال الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي.
وقالت الوكالة: «المناقشات جرت بمشاركة رئيس مكتب زيلينسكي أندريه يرماك، ورئيس الاستخبارات العسكرية الأوكرانية كيريلو بودانوف، بالإضافة إلى القائد العام السابق للقوات المسلحة الأوكرانية والسفير الحالي لدى لندن فاليري زالوجني، موضحة أن واشنطن ولندن قررتا ترشيح زالوجني لتولي منصب رئيس أوكرانيا».
وأشارت الوكالة إلى أن استبدال زيلينسكي أصبح شرطا أساسيا لإعادة ترتيب علاقات كييف مع الغرب، وخصوصاً مع الولايات المتحدة.
يذكر أن ولاية زيلينسكي من المفترض أن تنتهي في عام 2024، لكن الأحكام العرفية التي فرضتها أوكرانيا في فبراير 2022 حالت دون إجراء الانتخابات الرئاسية والبرلمانية، وسبق أن أكدت واشنطن أنها تريد من كييف إجراء انتخابات، ربما بحلول نهاية العام، إذا تمكنت أوكرانيا من الاتفاق على هدنة مع موسكو خلال الأشهر القادمة.
وكان الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين أعلن أنه لا يعتقد أن زيلينسكي زعيم شرعي في ظل عدم وجود تفويض انتخابي جديد، ولا يتمتع بالحق القانوني في التوقيع على وثائق ملزمة تتعلق باتفاق سلام محتمل.
وكانت الحرب بين روسيا وأوكرانيا اندلعت في 24 فبراير 2022 في تصعيد تسبب بأكبر صراع في أوروبا منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية سقوط فيها مئات الآلاف من الضحايا العسكريين وعشرات الآلاف من الضحايا المدنيين الأوكرانيين وتمكنت خلالها موسكو من السيطرة على عدد من المدن الأوكرانية.
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Agency revealed today (Tuesday) discussions among representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, and senior Ukrainian officials regarding the prospects of replacing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The agency stated: "The discussions involved the participation of Zelensky's Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov, as well as the former Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the current ambassador to London Valerii Zaluzhnyi, noting that Washington and London have decided to nominate Zaluzhnyi for the position of President of Ukraine."
The agency pointed out that replacing Zelensky has become a fundamental condition for rearranging Kyiv's relations with the West, especially with the United States.
It is worth mentioning that Zelensky's term is supposed to end in 2024, but the martial law imposed by Ukraine in February 2022 has prevented presidential and parliamentary elections from taking place. Washington has previously confirmed that it wants Kyiv to hold elections, possibly by the end of the year, if Ukraine can agree on a ceasefire with Moscow in the coming months.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he does not believe Zelensky is a legitimate leader in the absence of a new electoral mandate and does not have the legal right to sign binding documents related to a potential peace agreement.
The war between Russia and Ukraine erupted on February 24, 2022, escalating into the largest conflict in Europe since World War II, resulting in hundreds of thousands of military casualties and tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilian casualties, during which Moscow managed to seize control of several Ukrainian cities.
